I use Windows XP and cannot connect to the web. There is a yellow triangle in the task bar over the icons showing two computer screens. The yellow triangle has an exclamation mark in it. By right clicking on the triangle a window appears 'Local area connection status'. If I click support/repair the window states' renewing your IP address'. I have just purchased a lenovo ideapad s510p. it has windows 8 installed on it but it can not detect my windows8 phone (Lumia 520). I installed the windows phone desktop app and also updated the phone to the latest version and still there is no change. The cable and ports are ok because they work with other phones. I have had innumerable problems with Windows logons. I've had to reset my password over a half dozen times, because it evidently "forgets" it. I have two problems: 1) I want to delete the windows logon account that is associated with my Gmail account. A company I was working with set it up for me on their system and I don't want it. This is the account that is keeping me from being able to sign in with my Hotmail account, because it keeps popping up and not recognizing my password. Recently I bought a SD hard drive and installed windows 7 there. It worked great for about 7 days. Then I was playing and listening music while suddenly everything froze. I turned off my PC. After that, it would try to start, but everything would stop at the black screen with the windows logo saying "Starting Windows". I started in safe mode and it loaded really fast. Many years ago, while using Vista, I bought the Family Pack of upgrades for Win7 Home premium. Now I am faced with doing a clean install, BUT apparently I can't reinstall because the version I'm trying to reinstall is OLDER than the one I'm now using. How about that, several hundred updates over they ears and even a service pack. I guess that would make my current version NEWER, right? So, how can I reinstall my purchased software again? Hey, i am getting these errors when trying to copy to D:\Program Files 2 folder and if i try to delete anything from it it says "you need permission to perform this action". Even though i am the admin of the computer it still won't let me copy/delete files in it. I tried using the Take Ownership reg but when i try to take ownership on that folder, in the CMD window it says "SUCCESS: The file or folder D:\Program Files 2 is now owned by RAYHAN-PC" but below it it just says "INFO: Access is denied < D:\Program Files 2\*foldername*" and i still can't make change on Program files 2. I have a LifeCam Studio that works with my Acer laptop but won't work with my desktop. Skype and ManyCam on the desktop both say that the camera is in use with another program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both programs and the driver in Device Manager, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the LifeCam software. In the Device Manager of my laptop, the camera comes up as both LifeCam and a composite device, but on the desktop it installs only under Imaging as "webcam". Any ideas? Continue reading...

Okay I have been having this problem too. I have this stupid Snap.do redirect on my google chrome and it is SO FRUSTRATING! I think it came up after my internet suddenly exited and came back on twice in a row (not even allowing me any time to click anywhere). It was really weird and kind of scary. Then when I closed chrome and opened it again, I'd get these extensions and realize I was having ads on websites I normally didn't!
