I have an expensive embroidery machine with software that runs under XP. By expensive, I mean $10k'ish. The manufacturer is out of business, so there is no chance of obtaining patches if it turns out that it doesn't work with newer windows versions. I really would like to have a an install DVD with all updates and service packs. I fear that my existing OEM copy will not install if my hardware changes, so I have to plan for the worst. I had used C: drive for VM once, and create a ghost image for OS backup, After that, I had switched D; drive for VM, but not update the ghost image for OS backup. After I restore my OS image, and find that C: drive is used for VM instead of D: drive, but pagefile is kept on D: drive, and I would like to know on how to delete unused pagefile on D: drive. Hello, My management asked me to update sophos antivirus in all of our client pcs. I have created a batch file to install sophos silently which is located on the main servers shared folder. Now, I just wanted to run this bat file in all my clients from server. Is there any way to create a bat file which can be run from server to all client pcs by providing IP addresses??? My Laptop can no longer detect any bluetooth device. My bluetooth device cant also detect the bluetooth of my laptop. I have already tried all the possible solutions stated in the Windows Help and Support. I also tried to reinstall my bluetooth driver but an error message prompted: "'Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid.". I suspected that it is just a bug in the new update of my bluetooth driver so i decided to rollback to the older version of my bluetooth driver installer but still, same error message prompterd disallowing me to continue. I purchased a notebook with Windows 8 Home version for a new job. I found that I can't bring in personal computers at my new job, so I sold it to my sister-in-law. How do I change the Administrator account to her name and her email address? I have already loaded Office 2013 onto the computer, so I don't want to lose those programs. I created a new account for my daughter and turned on Parental Controls. I only used the Application Access portion. I Chose the option to only allow applications I choose, and made sure all were disabled. I then logged in to her user name and was surprised what happened. First off, Internet Explorer still worked. Though I start with this one because as I understand it as an IT, IE is part of Explorer, so it sorta has to work no matter what. But I still don't fully understand it. I want to be prepared in case I cannot obtain a Product Key for my 64-Bit Windows 7 Ultimate, which I have had for the past year. Yesterday, unexpectedly Microsoft blocked my Product Key. Originally this computer came with Home Premium. The vendor of the upgrade provided a new Product Key which Windows Activation would not accept. The Telephone option, which allowed no humans, stated that I had Ultimate installed on more than one computer, which is false. Oddly, I can still do Windows Update. Hi , MSE is very nice , but can they do one thing , in its next update ,can they add an extra option of scheduling full scan , as quick scan is needed daily , but we also need full scan weekly. JRT were unable to delete the following so what can be done to get rid of them? HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\conduit. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\Wow6432Node\conduit It was only after trying to get tid of the above that the following message began to appear. "documents. library-ms" is no longer working please delete. This applies to everything in the library and also contents of 'new library'. Is it likely that the two things are connected? Hi, It's been a long time since i needed any help with Linux but now I'm at the point of tearing my hair out. I'm using Mint 13 with Mate desktop. I've been running a mdadm Raid 6 system for quite some time. It consists of 4 hard drives consisting of 2TB's each. Yesterday I went to access my Raid 6 at md0 using the icon found in the Computer folder. The icon was not present. When i opened Disk Utility and checked the Raid 6 entry it showed it was up and running. All drives show no errors and they are in the proper configuration.
