I have a very old machine that has corrupt win32k.sys: STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The Session Manager Initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000135(0x00000000 0x00000000). Windows 8 Freezes. Restart results in "system thread exception not handled". Windows successfully restores to earlier restore point to boot, but issues is recurring. 3 crashes so far since computer was purchased at end of February 2014. I want to down grade to Windows 7. I bought the software from Amazon but the boot menu will not come up. Heres the kicker..... I know I can go into windows8 and have the Boot screen come up, BUT....the touch screen has a crack in the upper left side and its making the touch screen go nuts. I can barely get into the sign on screen, much less get past it. Is there ANYWAY to get the boot menu come up before windows 8 loads? I am beyond frustrated. Please help. Hello, I am having a severe problem with a site called Akamaihd hijacking my laptop to other sites every time I try to go to another site another site with their name on it will abruptly pop up and sometimes more than one and I have to delete the tab or tabs before I can get to the site I'm actually going to. The technicians name was Jonathon. He stated the he could see my computer was hacked and I need to by their security package for $500.00. Hello, This is my first time installing Linux. I downloaded Lubuntu 13.10 32 bit, burned the image to a cd, rebooted, set the BIOS to read it first, installed, and set the BIOS back to reading the HDD first. I read several tutorials both before, during and after the installation, got a partition at the end of the HDD, 6GB, for swap space, a partition before it, 120GB large, ext4, for Linux, both logical. After finishing the installation I took the Lubuntu CD out, closed the tray, and rebooted. It went straight to Windows, and has been doing that every time since.
