I have 2 drives on my Windows XP computer. The one which now has XP installed on it is a 144 GB drive and my second internal drive has approx. 2 Tb. Now that I’m switching to Windows 8, I am debating on installing Windows 8 on the 2 TB drive. Is there any real advantage to putting Windows 8 on the larger drive or should I just keep Windows on the smaller one? If I install Windows 8 on my second drive currently empty except for a few backup files or if I, at a later time, reinstall Windows 8, will I have to install all of the XP updates before installing Windows 8? Or can I just use the original XP disks I received with my computer to install Windows XP then update …

Hi, In recent years I have replaced several Hard Disks in my computer. The Hard Disks fail, stop working.....etc. All of them were by Seagate or WD. Can anyone advise about a really reliable Hard Disk which can work many years without failing ?? I am ready to pay extra if the Hard Disk is truly good and reliable. I am currently running Windows RT on a Lenovo IdeaTab K3011W-F (aka Lynx). This device was used by two individuals before, and so had a previous configuration. Hi, I bought a new laptop and installed windows 8 which comes with inbuilt IE10.Now,the issue is that I am unable to connect to my office site which is a citrix xenApp server and corresponding client receiver/plugin(which I downloaded from Internet) is not getting connected to the server.It is clear that most people are facing citrix connectivity issues on windows 8 with IE10. There has been drop outs when using and Audio device via USB (and high CPU spikes during the drop outs for a brief moment.) This occures once, maybe twice within a minute. The hardware I am using is a Traktor Kontrol s4 which has a built in sound card. When I use my laptops soundcard there is no issue, but I am unable to use alot of the functionalities of my Hardware. I have seen a lot of post in the past about this issue and there was a hotfix for Windows 7... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981214 This hotfix is the same issue I have on windows 8 but there is no download for windows 8. I tried installing a Sennheiser BTD500 USB Bluetooth 3.0 Adaptor with my new HP Pavilion 17 which did not come with internal Bluetooth. The USB Stick has built in driver for Apt-x Audio and Bluetooth, but no drivers are downloadable from Sennheiser. Windows recognizes it as an audio device but not as a Bluetooth device, Also, I have no Bluetooth option in control panel, no Bluetooth icons anywhere, no Bluetooth in Device Manager and no Bluetooth switch under the Wireless switch. Hi Good Day Everyone ! I'm having a problem with my newly bought laptop - ASUS N550L; i5; Windows 8.1 When I tried to connect my laptop to our Router, the router suddenly restarts by itself and disconnects everyone connected to it , and keeps repeating when the Laptop is on. But when i shutdown the laptop , the router is good and not restarting. I can say that the router is in good condition because I also have another laptop - Sony Vaio, and when i connect it ,everything's fine. i tried going through the Microsoft virus full scan and it didn't show anything but every now and again a pop up of survey 2013 with like a little cloud storm with a lightning strike in it. I installed Point Linux 2.3 for a buddy of mine a few months ago and he's wanting to get his printer hooked up but it's just not going as easily as it should. I had it working yesterday via USB from the Desktop then I unhooked the USB and hooked it to his laptop(also running Point LInux 2.3) and couldn't get it configured so I hooked it back up to the Desktop and it didn't work there either. I was getting the "waiting for printer to become available" deal, not sure why it stopped working. Hi all, Can anyone recommend an application firewall with gui. Mandatory feature, query user on first occurrence, and built-in configurations for known software. Under windows the Symantec Firewall has built in rules for known applications. In addition, I have it configured that anything new that attempts to access the internet has to be approved first. This way I caught some trojans on my computer. This, for me, is a serious hurdle to switching to Linux.
