This morning an analyst posted something speculative about the possibility of a price increase on the iPhone 6 when it is released later this year. The analyst in question has horrible history when it comes to making Apple predictions, so we're going to ignore the source. What we aren't going to ignore is the idea. Could Apple use the iPhone 6 as leverage to raise iPhone prices? Here’s what I think: Apple does whatever it wants to do. If they wanted to raise the price by $100 they’d just do it and they would not ask for permission. Furthermore, Apple’s track record over a long period of time has been to add more functionality while holding prices flat or even reducing …

It's time for Apple to update OS X with a flatter interface like iOS 7. iCloud gives us an idea of how that may look Based on what I posted last week, it's clear that many of you — like me — want Apple to adopt a more uniform user experience between iOS 7 and OS X — a flatter interface for OS X 10.10. Rumors have abounded since January that Apple is working on just that by creating a "flatter" interface for OS X 10.10 (code-named Syrah) that makes icons and other interface elements more consistent with their iOS 7 counterparts. We don't have to work too hard to imagine what it'll look like: Just open iCloud in a web browser. Admittedly, iCloud.com uses an extraordin…

And sometimes when i play games my keyboard is not working for a few minutes, though my mouse works without any hassle. A few seconds it comes back to normal. when the keyboard is not working the num lock light goes off and comes back again. Is it because of virus or some other reasons. Please help.. Hi I run Windows XP with Publisher 97 I knowits old but it worked fine until recently .......I want to know how to fix a problem at source because I am getting this message when I re-open a .pub file ................. "The file is being used by another currently running instance of Publisher Try closing other instances of Publisher or saving your work in those instances; then try again. OK " I can sort this out by a) going into the Task Manager and 'ending the process' but Windows should have done this automatically. Its really annoying to have to do this when trying to re-open the same file and getting the message and then terminate the process in Task Man…

(I'm thinking I might not delete his profile, doesn't seem right...) :( Thanks Continue reading...

Grateful for feedback on the following issue. I am currently able to receive and send emails using the Windows Mail App and two accounts (one hotmail one exchange). However, when reviewing settings for both the following message appears: "There are problems with a server's security certificate. The address in the certificate doesn't match the server's address. This can happen if you're connecting to a malicious server or if a company uses a certificate for multiple users. The certificate isn't fro a trusted source. Malicious servers might use fake certificates that cause this error". I am slightly concerned that I am, in fact connecting to a malicious serve…

Back in January 2013 I built myself a gaming PC, running Windows 7, and everything was running perfectly. A few months later I decided to make the upgrade to Windows 8 for the performance benefits and faster boot speeds, and since then I've had to wipe my hard drives 4 times because the OS updates keep messing up my system in some way. This has been happening over the course of a year, and happens every few months or so. Yesterday (after completing an update when I last switched off the PC), I turned it on and after the Windows loading screen I would just get a black, flickering screen which did nothing, and my desktop would never load. I thought at first it might b…

I've had this problem for months at this point. The common way I solve it with is to restore it to a previous point. But once restored I cannot shut down or restart the PC without the same problem occurring. Because of this I turn it to sleep mode only and then the connection stays working. But by mistake an update made me reboot automatically and now I'm back to the previous issue. I've downloaded and saved a substantial amount of data since my last restore, so just wondering if there is a practical solution to this problem? Continue reading...

My laptop has begun to refuse accepting the regular updates from Microsoft. When the computer closes down at the usual prompt, the updates are apparently "installed" but when it is rebooted it goes through repeated exercises trying to configure them and fails. Most recent failed updates are (all KB) 2800095, 2936068, 2908783, 2922229, 2928562, 947821 - and that's just a few. In case there were corrupted files, I went through the inbuilt validation process and apparently there are no corrupt files. So what do I do? Original Title: Windows 7 updates consisently fail everytime i put my computer on it asks for updates to be installed and every time it fails an…

While working ONLINE, files go OFFLINE once I make a change to them? Once they go OFFLINE they are no longer visible or referable to other users until I manually sync the file. It is quite a pain to have to go to the file in the explorer and tell it to sync after a change is saved. Is this by design? If so, can it be setup so when I am working online the files read/write as if I am not using the sync center at all? Continue reading...
