I have an old Toshiba Satellite A30 laptop running Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition.I recently tried to start the machine but was unable to boot - I got a blue screen with the message 'Unmountable _Boot_Volume'.I have the original Product Recovery CD_ROMs that came with the laptop. I thought that one of these would be able to assist but I am not sure what to do. I am able to login into microsoft on my desktop, but I cant set up my laptop with my account. HelloMy Laptop (LT) was purchased in 2012 with preloaded with windows 8. It was upgraded to windows 8,1, Because I could not upgrade I did a reset the LT and now I have windows 8 existing. This LT was not used much, its is as good as new. I spent 90 minutes on the phone with stamps tech support to no avail. I haven’t used Windows for years, but need to now. When I start up and try to log in, it shows one account only, and says my password is incorrect. I went on another computer, logged in to accounts.live.com and successfully reset my password, BUT my computer stills keeps rejecting this new password, too! Hi I'm got into a mess with my son's Asus notepad unning windows 8.1, I realise it's quite old but he uses for very simple stuff. Hi.I bought a Windows surface with Windows 8 and reseted it to factory settings. It is connected to my Microsoft account, but I don't seem to be able to run .exe files. I'm trying to install Google Chrome on it but it says "This app can't run on your PC". I tried using regedit to put .exe to exefiles and both exefile and open to "%1"%*, but I still see the same error. Why might that be?
