Hi, My printer is not working properly. It prints a test page, but when I try and print a document it gets jammed in the queue. I am using Windows 7 (64 bit). I have downloaded the latest drivers from the Lexmark website and installed them. The printer is connected via USB and I have checked that the port is working properly. After I installed the new drivers, I restarted the computer. I was then able to print one document, but after that the printer stopped responding properly. I have a 4 year old Dell Studio 1558 After a year of warnings my Hard Drive finally crashed. I was unable to make a system image, but have backed up my documents. Purchased a compatible new Hard Drive and a new OS (Windows 7 Home and Student 2013 - same as previous) After installing my new hard drive, removed any USB etc, and inserted the CD and re booted it didn't work. Entered into BIOS and changed the boot sequence with 'CD/DVD/CD-R Drive' as priority over 'Hard Drive'. No dice. Pressed F12 on boot and manually selected 'CD/DVD/CD-R Drive'... still no dice. Windows Defender icon disappeared from my taskbar. Paretologic warns that a vulnerability exists in explorer versions 6 thru 11. I have a new Surface Pro 2 running Windows 8, and in the last few days whenever I boot up the unit, I get an application on my screen that purports to be a security system. It is titled "Speed Cleaner" and wants me to install or continue something for the protection of the system. so yesterday i had adware on my laptop and it's been quarrantined but had troubles with steam so i checked my processes last time it was browsermanager.exe which is gone for good) and found unsecapp.exe running. I saw that its probs a virus if its in the programs32 folder and turns out it's in: C:\\Windows\System32\wbem It is 46kb and in processes, it uses 908K memory. Folks: The other day I changed a config file because some updater in my system was burning up all my bandwidth. I set it to 1kbps and now synaptic is downloading at that speed. But the rest of the net is running fine. (I think it was Firefox updating now since it did it automatically after that.) What file would do this, so I can reset it back. Today, we released a security update to address the Internet Explorer (IE) vulnerability first described in Security Advisory 2963983. This security update addresses every version of Internet Explorer. While we’ve seen only a limited number of targeted attacks, customers are advised to install this update promptly. The majority of our customers have automatic updates enabled and so will not need to take any action as protections will be downloaded and installed automatically.

At approximately 10 a.m. PDT, we will release an out-of-band security update to address the issue affecting Internet Explorer (IE) that was first discussed in Security Advisory 2963983. This update is fully tested and ready for release for all affected versions of the browser. The majority of customers have automatic updates enabled and will not need to take any action because protections will be downloaded and installed automatically.
