Since I found a suitable way to replace Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator, I may as well see if theres a way to replace AutoHotKeys Autocorrect feature. I never really used AHK for anything else, but the Autocorrects ability to be used in all applications was very handy. Unfortunately, for some reason, AHK in Wine doesnt work, or at least I cant find where the files are to edit the Autocorrect file. There is another version of AHK for Linux, but the programmer wont fix his version to use or adapt the Autocorrect script, because his version is more powerful. Illogical. If its so powerful he should be able to import the file without much effort. I came across a…

T-Mobile US has published its Q1 2014 report. The company has reported its best ever quarterly performance in branded postpard net customer additions. A total net of 2.4 million customers were added, including over 1.3 million branded postpaid net customers. This report marks the first quarter the carrier has had with more than 2 million net customers added to plans. It's a stark contrast to Sprint, which is still experiencing issues upgrading its network while maintaining its customer base. The carrier has illustrated a considerable positive response to its 'un-carrier' marketing. T-Mobile has been on the aggressive for some time, attempting to eliminate consumer pa…

Intake landed on iPad today, offering an insane amount of challenge in a really unique package. In short, pills fall from the top of the screen, and you have to tap them before they hit the bottom. They'll come in one of two different colors, and you need to switch between those two colors by tapping the bar at the bottom of the screen. If you have the right color active while tapping the right pill, you get extra points and earn a score multiplier if you can keep a string of them going. Even if the pill hits the bottom, if you have the same color active, you'll be shielded from an overdose. If you hit certain waypoints, such as level 25, you can chose to start there rath…

Logitech is well-known for producing high quality, yet functional accessories and now the company is looking to get involved once again with iPhone cases. However, there's a difference between what's already available out there and Logitech's Case+ concept — modular customization. The case utilizes magnets for iPhone 5 and 5s owners to connect an array of modules to the case and extend functionality. There's only one problem with the Logitech Case+, the price tag. If you're interested in picking one up, be prepared to part with $199.99. While the pricing may appear to be rather steep, consumers do receive the marketed modular parts. The car mount (+drive) is essentia…

here is my story I installed some software called Advanced System Optimizer then it did some registry check up, unfortunately i forgot to create a backup restore point, thus I went on ahead and ticked 'optimize now' and then it told me to reboot. Though at the same time i unistalled Kaspersky Anti-Virus and at the same time installed BitDefender. So when it was restarting it started doing some registry command prompt before windows loaded. Then when the reboot was over some of my software like IDM, Tune Up Utilities stopped working. When i try to open, delete, uninstall he software stated in this line, it gives me an error saying I require administrative permission despit…

Just received a call from 605 223-1807. Said he was a technician from Microsoft and located in South Dakota. Wanted me to check and verify my Microsoft CLSD number by going to the "run" window and submitting what info he gave me. I said no and he put someone else on the phone telling me that they only wanted to verify my number with theirs. I asked for their phone number and said I would call them back after I checked. It shows a landline in Phoenix, Arizona but I cannot find the name of the business or phone owner. I know Microsoft is having some security problems right now and that is the only reason I am wondering if, possibly, this is NOT a scam. I have not called bac…

I have the Windows 7 key and serial number as is on sticker but no way reinstall Windows 7. Is there a way I can download Windows 7 to a USB stick and reinstall it to my laptop or am I SOL?? Three of my friends have beat me to Windows 8. Each of them were sold extra software protection with a free year of service. Two of them have had to uninstall the software because it slowed their systems down considerably, only to be told that Windows 8 already has virus protection built into the system. The third person was sold 'Webroot' and told that it had to be installed. My question to you is: If I purchase Windows 8, do you recommend any additional software protection outside of what comes with? I don't want to NOT purchase additional protection if it's needed, but on the same hand, I do NOT want to ruin my new system with a program that is basically usel…

I know we have thrashed this out pre XP being unsupported, but it applies to all the guest O/S we use with virtual on Windows 7 or 8. Bad-Case might migrate from the guest to the host. Regarding possible virus attacks from the Internet, I've Installed several packages on my VMWare XP to replace MSE, including a freeware version of Avast! But something says that a guest system, unlike a stand-alone, sits in the host and is subject to all the scrutiny of antimalware, a/v and other pest removal. I've started doing extra scans of the XP folders besides running Avast! etc. in the guest. So far, Avast! has only complained about older progs being "suspicious" - that is, no …
