Each time I switch on the computer an error message appears with the detail as follows. "the feature you are trying to use is on a removable disc which is not available" and "error 1706 no valid source could be found for product Aiosoftware the windows installer cannot continue" There is a "click" from the tower section of the set-up. As you can gather I'm not very clued up on computers, but this problem is annoying. It stops me removing, or, downloading any programmes, and also stops me turning off the computer in the normal way. Not sure if this is caused by virus or malware, but my XP computer suddenly froze, and when I restarted it, it would freeze in the login screen and I am unable to login in. After this I tried to open in safe mode (pressing f8), however the options menu that should appear was replaced with just a small menu letting me select the boot device (HDD, CD ROM, and 1st Floppy Drive) instead of the usual open in safe mode/open with networking etc, and choosing any would just boot as normal and the same freezing would occur. I have been using Windows 7 for couple of years but i still find it appropriately slow in terms of Log on,shut-down,opening programs, browsing IE...(inspite of having latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer,Shockwave player,Java,IE 10..etc).Everytime before logging of PC all the cookies,system files(unused) are being cleaned using (...) Hello, I am thinking of buying an external ADC, to do 24bit / 96khz audio recording of my LPs, but wanted to check that the Surface RT can do 24bit recording. There are still many, many people in this country who live in areas where internet data is very limited. For these people especially, the loss of the simple desktop games in Windows 7 is a huge issue when moving to a Windows 8 computer. If Microsoft would package the old games that they have and charge a few bucks for it they could make a killing. Same problem for me on Windows 8.1 Pro. i have done a backup of my computer with windows backup ; orignal disk is 500Mb Standard ; then after resizing (smaller partitions) with minitool partition wizard (because standard windows 8 tools won't do the job) and after clonning the original drive to an 256Gb SSD drive with Acronis true image 2014 (because the restore fonction of Windows 8 is not able to restore on a smaller drive) ; i change the 500Gb and replace it with the cloned 256Gb. I am running windows 7 and decided to try and solve slow running and ( not responding) messages on programmes. I started to perform a clean boot but when I had made the changes to the system configuration window and clicked OK the title bar said (not responding) After waiting a considerable amount of time I false quit. Hello, So this all began when trying configure new headphones to my laptop to game with. But they sounded funny, so I reconfigured for the other ones that I've been using for a year now, work perfectly well. However, the sound was strange so I fiddled with some things and then no sound. I thought the problem was in Mumble, however, when Mumble is not launched, I have proper sound coming through the Headphones from YouTube and all that, but the minute I launch my game (SWtoR) there is no sound from the game only. Hi. I deleted myself as administrator on the local disc (c:) properties window under security and owner. It now reads unable to display current owner and I cant access nothing to change the settings or to change to another user. I noticed in articles from a year or more ago that this issue has happened yet it has happened again now. I have run all the virus software and malware out there and have run all the disk cleanup software as well and rebooted (obviously in safe mode). I have also restored the computer to latest settings that were available (unfortunately the person does not keep backups and the computer only had 3 days.
