Today, I worked on a service request where our customer was using a VPN, but the network routes seemed to indicate it was not working and was using the ISP IP instead of the VPN IP. I found that can be challenging to verify whether your connection is indeed passing through the VPN or directly via your ISP. In this article, I would like to share my lessons learned to determine which route your connection to Azure SQL Database is taking using PowerShell in Windows. MySQL Consistent Snapshot without locks is a new feature that allows users to take a Consistent Snapshot of a MySQL server without losing data integrity at source. During Microsoft Ignite 2023, we previewed the ability to hibernate VMs, making it easier for customers to save Compute costs. Hibernating a VM deallocates the machine while persisting the VM’s in-memory state. While the VM is hibernated, customers don’t pay for the Compute costs associated with the VM and only pay for storage and networking resources associated with the VM. Customers can later start back these VMs when needed and all their apps and processes that were previously running simply resume from their last state. i have an old dell laptop c600 that originally had windows xp professional 1 on it. i installed windows xp home edition on it some time ago. the hard disk failed and i got a new one and tried to install windows xp home edition on it and when it gets to the page where i have to enter the product code the product code on the back of the computer for xp professionsl 1 won't work so with out my xp home edition certificate of authencity with the product code on it i can't proceed.
