I down loaded a program called slimcomputer but it also installed avg antivirusfree2013 and made it my default search bar. I went into manage add- ons /search providers click on avg then click remove. its not in search providers now but if I click charms/search/ and type in avg this comes up e avg antivirrusfree2013http:/free.avg.com/us-en/home then click on that and up comes the avg home page anyone how I can remove it. The book, which you can read in iBooks on an iOS device with iBooks 1.5 and iOS 4.3.3 or higher, as well as any Mac running Mavericks, contains 228 pages, and provides guidelines for everything from app layout and color to working with trademarks. So the dreaded Windows 8.1 upgrade was not successful. Unfortunately the System Restore was set to off (why would this be turned off by default?). So no restore points are available. The issue I have is no internet connection in spite of the fact that the connection shows active. I know of various people that have tried this upgrade to similar failures. After upgrading to Win 8.1 I have had some experiences with my computer freezing for 5-10 seconds every few minutes. Music continues to play, the curser continues to blink (although sometimes it freezes too), and the mouse can be moved, but trying to type doesn't work, and trying to close, open, move or otherwise interact with programs (both desktop and modern apps) fails. Then, at the end of the brief freeze, everything that was done during the freeze happens all at once.
