Hi..........my Dell Inspiron N7110 laptop will turn on with the Dell logo on the screen but Windows 7 doesn't always launch. I have to turn the laptop on & off several times before Win 7 will launch. I recently did a system restore to the date of May 15, 2014 because I accidentally uninstalled the Bluetooth software from my program list & my mouse would not work. With the restoration, the Bluetooth software is again on the list & my Bluetooth mouse is now working. This Inspiron has an Intel CORE i5 processor & a 64-bit OS & 6 GB of memory of which 587 GB remain. What can I do to correct this problem?.........thanks...... Continue reading...

i did a full back on a hp 630 using windows 64 and i didn't know that your supposed to put a fresh dvd in halfway through,............. i know now!,............... but when i ran "back up" and it asked for new dvd, i just opened up tray and closed and it continued and it finally said "successful"........reason for saying that is i don't know if that is part or all of the problem, now every time i start comp it says, load media, and the "back up" program is still trying to run, so i just go to backup and restore, start "back up" and then cancel which stops it from trying to run...UNTIL i start comp later on , then i will get the pop up saying load media,......it wont s…

A Few days ago Norton IS (up to date) reported that it had blocked a Trojan attack. I ran Norton Power Eraser and removed the Trojan. Also ran Malware Bytes it reported no problems. However since then I have noticed strange things. 1. Performance Monitor reports no anti virus product - but Norton IS is running. Have seen other posts regarding this and as it is not causing a problem I am happy to wait for the fully tested fix in the next SP. 2. Maybe one day, I will learn. I know, now, what brought the conduit search; Trovi search; & the Bing search onto my computer. Tricking me into thinking there was a new update to my Media player I downloaded it like a dummy! I have tried many suggestions & cannot get rid of them. I have recently been infected with adware related to 'srv123' which causes ads to pop up in browsers, rather obnoxiously. I have tried to deal with this issue myself and have seemingly failed, so I turn to this helpful community which has solved issues for me in the past. Let me speak on what I have tried thus far. First thing I did was to attempt to remove the adware with Ad-Aware Antivirus. This program has proven to be safe and reliable so far, but it failed to prevent 'srv123' from functioning. I'm using a Thinkpad T440p with Samsung 840 Pro SSD. I set an ATA password that is requested every time the drive turns off. So when I boot any OS from cold it asks for the password, but if I reboot Windows it doesn't, because the drive doesn't get turned off and therefore does not forget the password. The same behavior happens when I reboot using Ctrl+Alt+Del from DOS or early in the Linux boot process. Unfortunately when I reboot Linux after completely starting up (so that a reboot actually isn't instant, but Linux gets time to shut down properly), the hard drive seems to forget the password. Hi Team, Whenever I am trying to edit /etc/services file (OS RHEL 5, VMware) I am getting error unable to edit in readonly mode and same error showing while moving it or deleting it. Say I'm moving files from Folder A to Folder B. I open up 2 windows in Windows Explorer, copy files from original location, then switch to the other Windows Explorer window and paste them at the destination location. I come back to the original location and for some bizarre reason its the same as the destination location. This has happened from (not always) quite often. Does anybody know why this happens? And is it possible to stop Microsoft from popping up their suggestions for answers to my question which are never even close to relevant? They seem to pop up twice every time.
