Hello, I have the Reading Fanatic malware in my laptop. I uninstalled it, but it is still in my Program Files(x86). Impossible to delete. In my Taskmanager> processes I have found the 6xbrmon64.exe. When I say " end process" and go back to my Program Files and click on Reading Fanatic my laptop gets stuck and does not do a thing. How do I delete the files? When I want to delete the files I get the notice that they are open in another file. I cannot find that file though. Furtherrmore I have the YAC. How do I remove/uninstall this one? When I do uninstall it goes till 30% and stops. I really have a problem here. Who can help me? thank you! Continue reading...

hello I received my Surface Rt for Xmas. Despite not being able to do a few things work wise it has been an ok lappy. a few months ago I noticed some minor changes on my lappy and paid no attention to it. I have been using one of two desk tops along with my lappy and really started noticing some issues. I thought I had called AOL because it was with that account that I noticed some really strange behaviors with AOL that morning. So after calling the number that was being given now that I think back it wasn't really AOL well the person on the other end of the line wanted to do a remote access to my computer, ( My surface would not allow the program to run) so I ran…

Hi, I have this foreign language malware that pops up pretty much every time I open a new page or go to a new page via link, etc. It happens both on IE and Chrome. It is a foreign language ad/pop-up. It has a clickable close this ad part (in a foreign language), after which it closes when you click on it. I ran Microsoft Security Essentials Scan and nothing is caught. It is bothersome and I'm worried it is a tracking software that records bank username and passwords. How can I catch and delete it? Sincerely, Bel Continue reading...

If Microsoft could enable right click to scan file/removable drive for Windows Defender, that would be great. I also hoping to see more features to be available in Windows Defender, like option to shut down the laptop after scan. And also ability to continue even screen is off but not sleep. Menu to install applications from default repositories, third-party ones or external sources on any Ubuntu 14.04 or Debian 7 system (desktop or server). There are a lot of applications included in the default list, but this list can be modified by the user by just editing a single text file. Furthermore, users can add subscripts to extend main menu functionality, for example, add new repositories, setup applications, etc. In addition, exist one separate script for each application as an alternative way to do the installation proccess without the main menu. Valid for: Ubuntu v14.04 and Debian 7 (for all desktops or server). With some changes in config files, it …

So, it's Gentoo based but I also read something about being "Arch" so will I use "pacman" to download packages in Terminal or what? I've used Debian based stuff for over a year that uses apt-get and I've been using Manjaro for about a month now and it uses pacman and I'd like to branch out a bit with something that'd still be familiar but also different. So, will Sabayon use pacman then? P.S. Ok, did a bit of looking about on the interweb, so Sabayon uses "equo" in place of pacman or apt-get? I thought I did read that it used pacman as well but with all these different ways of doing the same thing in different Distros it sometimes gets a bit confusing. LOL Continue…

Professional photographers who use a light meter can now use their phones instead to get proper exposure information thanks to the Luxi Kickstarter campaign. Luxi, which was previously available for iPhone, is now expanding the campaign to support Android and iPad tablets. The Luxi for All attachment is a small accessory that clips onto your device and measures the light level that will be available so that you can program in the correct exposure settings for your photographs, resulting in photos that are properly exposed so that the images aren't too bright (overexposed) or too dark (underexposed). The Luxi for All is described as a "small diffusion dome which clips" …

We had reported that Twitter is considering making a bid to acquire German music service SoundCloud, but now it appears that the social network is no longer interested in a deal. "Twitter considered buying German music-streaming service SoundCloud, but it has backed out of the talks, according to a person familiar with the matter," the Wall Street Journal reported, citing that "the numbers didn't add up." According to the Journal's source, Twitter eventually let the deadline pass without arriving at an agreement. SoundCloud is a service that is viewed as a YouTube for audio where users would upload tracks and share with each other. As such, one initial concern …

While trying to help someone understand the different manifestations of "users/contacts" between mail, phone contacts, Skype, etc., I managed to inadvertently add some accounts to my Favorites in the Mail App and do not see a means to manage that list. Magic happens here...I do something that I cannot recall or repro...vague recollection is that I clicked on a couple of the accounts for friends from the 'Frequent' list and they end up in the Favorites list 4.
