I have a Epson D68 Printer connected to via USB to a XP Desktop which connects using a network cable to our Wireless BT Homehub, my XP Netbook cannot get the printer to print, there are two other computers that connect to the Printer through the wireless network and have no problems printing (XP and 7). I have installed the Printer onto my XP Netbook, data is sent to the receiving XP Desktop, (usually it displays that it has received nearly all the data), but the printer will not print. My Refurbished Dell Latitude D600 has an issue, where the computer goes to a black screen, and tells me to enter Safe Mode, Start Windows normally, etc. I tried every option, but the computer only started loading, and then it went back to the same screen. I used F8 during loading to get to the blue "Technical Information" screen, by reading information I learned from another FAQ on this site. I have information from the "*** STOP" line. Hi Guys, i´ve just bought a new SSD and removed my old one. First i used the old one to do this: I went to download it, so i had to type in my key to get it and did so. Downloaded the iso and burned it and powered Down and removed the old one. In with the new one, booted from the DVD and all was fine. Untill it said "Activate Windows" in the update section. I tried that and it would not accept it. Sometimes when using my Windows 7 64bit with all the latest updates the mouse will freeze/stutter during disc access. It moves around the screen in jumps. Making it hard to use. I can use the keyboard fine in games like Warcraft. But the mouse does not work well until the drive light goes out. It happens it seems more during a indexing of the drive. Hi , as some people , i have problems with CPU , it goes to 100% Randomly , when i open tasks manager quick , to see which procces is causing it , i see it randomly , example System - Cpu 40 , Task manager cpu 20 , google.exe 60 etc etc the task manager one is ttricky , if you end it then the task manager will close and then i cant see which procces its doing the high cpu I have already checked disc for errors , used ccleaner , defragement , clean boost , optimized windowws for better performance , updated drivers , and checked for dust inside the laptop , but still its happening yesterday , i did chkdsk with cmd , and it was better , in any game when cpu goes…

I want a custom splash screen to be displayed during bootloader,kernel-boot and init phases of booting. I am able to add my logo for u-boot. Rather than customizing kernel to show the same logo, I want to fully disable the kernel from updating the framebuffer/display. I tried the kernel command line options "quiet vga=normal nofb nomodeset video=vesafb:off i915.modeset=0" (All together). But this not working. The screen goes black after u-boot. I think something like this is already implemented in Ubuntu. When ubuntu is booting, kernel messages are hidden by a color screen. How is this implemented?
