by Guest John Callaham- 0 replies
Apple is reportedly increasing the amount of time buyers of its iPhone and iPad products can take before choosing whether or not to purchase its $99 AppleCare+ extended support from 30 days to 60 days. The new policy, which was previously rumored, will certainly give buyers of Apple's two biggest hardware products more time to decide if they really want to pay close to $100 for AppleCare+. The program adds two more years of support for its products, along with replacement plans if an owner breaks an iPhone or iPad up accidentally up to two times. The new 60 day period will be available everywhere except for Japan, where it will remain at just 30 days. At the same …

Editor’s note: The following is a post from Thomas Kohnstamm, a writer for microsoft.com/stories. To say that a lot was at stake would be an understatement. The San Francisco launch event for Office for iPad was Satya Nadella’s first appearance as the CEO of Microsoft in the Bay Area tech industry and media epicenter. And Office for iPad represents Nadella’s determination to create a mobile first, cloud first Microsoft that is committed to making cloud services like Office available on every device, no matter the platform. As Nadella’s co-presenter, Julia White, general manager of product marketing for Office, was praised for her energetic hands-on demo – but also h…

I am assuming this is happening when it syncs but can't work out why. And am now left with the task of recovering everything she has lost. Is their anyone who can suggest how I might get the info back and stop it happening again, short of telling her never to connect to the internet again. Continue reading...

Can't Create an Account on my computer(Windows 8.1)
by Guest Yeshwant K- 0 replies

I used my computer, casually and Windows Explorer keeps crashing and restarting. Not way too much of a problem(although it's annoying and irritating), I have XWindowsDock and 8Gadget on the desktop. I use them to open programs although some don't work and say you lack privileges to open Opera and other programs . Google Chrome doesn't do anything, Mozilla Firefox says it's already open but might not be responding, and Internet Explorer and Safari work fine although Internet Explorer takes a significantly longer amount of time to start up. I also have Steam, which says it's checking for and update but closes itself. Windows Explorer(File Explorer) would work but started…

by Guest MichaelQuaintance- 0 replies

Hello all, I've got a user in my organization that experiences a crash in ODBC Data Source Administrator when he clicks the File DSN tab. The mouse cursor switches to "busy" and will remain that way unless we force close the program. While the cursor stays this way in ODBC Data Source Administrator, the user is able to launch other programs and work otherwise normally. This happens with both the 32 and 64-bit version. Any help at all here is appreciated. Thank you. Continue reading...
