Power Setting changes connection speed
by Guest CharlesOnumaegbu- 0 replies

i don't know if anyone else has noticed this but when I change my power setting from balanced to high performance on my laptop and when i start on battery and not connected to the AC adapter, i notice a far longer connection speed to my wireless router when i log into the desktop. I got curious because sometimes it wouldn't connect and come up with the star thingy and i would have to connect again but when i go into balance or start on battery, the connection speed is almost instantaneous. I have tried uninstalling my wireless driver and let the computer reinstall the driver itself and that fixed it a bit, i could connect automatically, faster but still not as fast as on …

Hi, I have a windows 7 (64 bit) with AMD A4-3305M APU with Radeon HD graphics 1.90 Ghz. Media players that i have- VLC portable, windows media player 11. recently, 3 weeks ago. I have been experiencing troubles with video play back and as well my Hp-101 webcam built in. After I upgraded skype, it all went down hill. The webcam started giving me a black screen, and the videos as well ( however the other person can see me, and the audio works). I deleted that copy of skype, and downloaded an older version. Still, no solution. i bought an external webcam to pass that hurdle, and it works. However, having deleted all media players and reinstalling them as well…

How do I remove Linkey by Aztec?
by Guest teature- 0 replies
I downloaded a free video and pdf converter and it looks like I also got Linkey by Aztec also. Now my internet (google) searches are all errors and redirect me to "Linkey." I looked up how to remove Linkey, but a group of finds require for me to download their stuff to remove Linkey... those seem strange because they are similar to Linkey with third party and access and tracking my searches. So how can I get rid of Linkey? Oh and I already did control panel Programs to delete and Chrome to remove. It doesn't show on my control panel not even Aztec for me to delete. Chrome will disable it but won't even allow me to delete or remove it. But Linkey appears at the top of…

by Guest PG Eckelkamp- 0 replies

I have started getting messages about needing new drivers for 1.) Miscrsoft usb mouse 2.) my HP all-in-one 3. generally messed up on bluetooth devises. Shortly thereafter these hardware units stop working. Every track I take leads me to a 'service' for ab out $29-$35. This is even if I start on Microsoft.com to get a single driver. I sure as whatever getting this BS runaround. They (are differend companys). What's the deal? I thought when I paid big bucks at the time to upgrade to Windows 7 that there will be support since Windows 8 is so screwed up, no one wants it. Where is my support? If it is a scam, you'd better track it down. Peter Eckelkamp *** Email…

Hello. I have a weird temporary tasks/processes in the taskbar after running an application (e.g. Dolphin, VLC, Chrome). It takes a sec for Doplhin and Chrome but for VLC it takes several seconds and can be quite annoying as there could be many of them when I click (and therefore play) on the .mp3 file few times. I enclose a screenshot of the taskbar after clicking twice on the .mp3 file. reffefghrtr.jpg reffefghrtr.jpg How to get rid of these unnecessary tasks? Apple removes apps with music download capabilities from its App Store
by Guest Rich Edmonds- 0 replies
It appears as though Apple is removing apps that support the downloading of music from its App Store. It's an interesting move for the company, going as far as implementing a iTunes Radio banner, which is displayed when a search for 'music download' is carried out on the store. Removing said apps, including those that tap into third-party file sharing website, will surely pave the way for Apple to push through its iTunes music services. This removal of apps covers those also connecting to the likes of YouTube and Soundcloud. Some developers have stated that Apple notified them to remove audio download functionality from their published apps. With iOS 8, Apple is set …

Apple starts removing apps that incentivize social sharing
by Guest Harish Jonnalagadda- 0 replies

Apple has begun cracking down on apps that offer incentives to users for watching videos or sharing on social networks. The move is said to be a broader push to change how content discovery is handled in the App Store in iOS 8. Apple has outlined the following policy changes to reject several apps: 2.25: Apps that display Apps other than your own for purchase or promotion in a manner similar to or confusing with the App Store will be rejected, unless designed for a specific approved need (e.g. health management, aviation, accessibility, etc.) or to provide significant added value for a targeted group of customers. 3.10: Developers who attempt to manipulate or che…

The Sims 4 launching on Mac on September 2
by Guest Richard Devine- 0 replies

[/url] EA's press conference at E3 provided word on when Mac gamers will see The Sims 4 and it's good news. The game will see simultaneous launch on Mac and Windows on September 2. OK, so it's still a few months away but getting it the same time as our Windows gaming buddies is great news. Having originally been slated for launch in late 2013 the delay sees it coming out almost a year after its original target. It's available to pre-order now, though it looks to be a Windows only affair at the moment. Pricing is set at $59.99 and $69.99 for different versions and hopefully the Mac version won't be far off this. So come on, own up. Who's excited? via Windows …

How to set default calendars, alert times, sync, and more on iPhone or iPad
by Guest Allyson Kazmucha- 0 replies
The iPhone and iPad Calendar app allows you to set not only your default calendar, but to customize many other settings that change how your calendar events behave. Having good defaults can make it much faster to add new events and appointments, especially if you often add events to the same calendar, with the same alert requirements. You can also set how far back your iPhone and iPad will sync those appointments and events, so you can keep handy just your most recent entries, or entries going back for months. You can toggle automatic time zone shifting, and even turn off invitation alerts if you need fewer distractions in your life. How to disable new invitation aler…
