Replace a copy of win 7 without a C.O.A or disk. with a copy of Win 7 with a C.O.A. and disk.

Hi I have just bought a computer with an activated copy of Win 7 - 64 bit but no disk or C.O.A. I have a full retail version with both disks 32 & 64 bit, the C.O.A. which is unused and not activated. I want install my copy so I can re-install it if need be. I want to do this WITHOUT doing a format because of other gear which is on the hard drive which I want to keep - Win Office with no disk either. Will I be able to do this. The Win Office software is a "install x number of copies onto computers with one disk" type product. It should be straight forward but I thought I'd ask the question anyway. Also, maybe there is a way to just…

All 5 network adapters stopped working
by Guest PhilipKnowles99- 0 replies
I have a number of network adapters installed on my Lenovo 3000 N200 including wired and wireless connections, internet tethered phone connection and VPN for Blackberry. Last week all of these suddenly stopped working at the same time so I upgraded drivers and tried different connections all to no avail. The machine will not connect to the local network or the internet by any means at all. On the wireless connection utility I can see my router and everyone else's in the street, but a connection cannot be made either by wireless or cable to the router or to the modem itself. This sounds like a common-mode failure but I don't know where it might be as I have check…

How to Remove Movie Mode on Windows 8?
by Guest xnkng- 0 replies
Movie Mode is an ad type of virus I think and I can't seem to uninstall it from the control panel. Ads are popping up onto pages unnecessarily and I can't seem to click on Norton (the anti virus software); but I know its definitely still running. When I click on uninstall, it comes up as "Error Launching Installer." I have tried to google this but I'm worried it would just be a fake method. The only thing I was able to do is remove it from the extensions from tools on google chrome. Someone help me please! Continue reading...

Having trouble installing 14.04 32-bit on Compaq Presario F700 laptop
by Guest mon_e_mons- 0 replies
Hello folks. I've used ubuntu briefly at school and loved it so I wanted to put it on my old laptop. I installed the 14.04 32-bit iso file to a flash drive and booted from there. When I boot, it creates a very funky display error where many versions of the display overlap each other and make it impossible to do anything. I'm guessing this is from a display driver issue but I don't know how to fix it. I am unable to do anything from the live USB because the display is so messed up. Is there a way to put the drivers on the USB and have them work right away from the USB so I can actually install it on my computer? orrr....idk. Is there ANY kind of way I can get this to insta…

Why a 32GB iPhone costs $100 more
by Guest Rene Ritchie- 0 replies
Apple's updated iPod touch lineup separates 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB capacity models by $50 price increments. That's new for Apple in the iOS device lineup. Previously for the iPod touch, and still for the iPhone and iPad, capacity models are separated by $100 price increments. There are some other factors, like iPhone 5c vs. iPhone 5s pricing, or iPad Air vs. Retina iPad mini pricing, or iPad Wi-Fi vs. iPad cellular pricing. However, for the most part, Apple chooses to segment devices by capacity. So, is that a good thing or a bad thing? First and most importantly — it has nothing to do with storage capacity. If you focus on storage capacity alone, and get stuck on compon…

by Guest Chris Parsons- 0 replies

With Apple kicking Aperture and iPhoto to the curb, the folks at Adobe are ready to pick up the pieces wherever they can. Specifically, they're letting it be known Lightroom and Creative Cloud Photography solutions aren't going anywhere any time soon. In fact, they have 'a rich roadmap of rapid innovation' in the works for desktop, web and device workflows in the coming weeks. From the Adobe blog: Today, Apple announced they will no longer be developing Aperture in light of their new photography app for OS X. If you are an Aperture or iPhoto customer looking for change, check out our new Creative Cloud Photography plan announced last week, or our standalone Lightroo…
