I hav installed Antiviruses and Spyware software in my system, but after when i uninstalled those software from my system, they got uninstalled but their entries are still shown in security center ( In malware protecion) and in some of those entries it still displays that they were still turned "ON" ........ Hi there all I have a number of computers with multiple users on each machine, that need access to a printer that is attached to one of the machines and shared out. e.g. PC1 has the printer physically attached and shared. All users of PC2, PC3 & PC4 need access to the printer. I have discovered that if I place the users of PC2,...,PC4 in the local administrators group for each machine, I can log in with local admin rights, navigate to the printer e.g. \\pc1\Printers and Faxs \LocallyAttachedPrinter right click on icon and place a shortcut on my desktop. Hi, We have a portal application developed in Delphi 5.0 which freezes in Windows XP SP2 machines.It was working with Windows 2000 Professional machines.Once the application get freezed and we are not able to access the application. We have to close the application usign task manager and all the changes are lost. We are able to login and access forms. But few forms are not working and it freezes. Please find the machine configuration below: Intel P4 3 Ghz 1GB RAM NAV 10.1.4 XP Professional SP2 Edition (English) Please let us know the resolution for this issue. Vimal.

i can't sync my blackberry to vista with the 4.1 that came with my new blackberry from bell cell

hi, I used to create new folders on the start menu to organize it better. And, in some cases, customize the icon to be shown in known program folders (like microsoft office, adobe, etc.) In windows vista it allows me to do that but when I finished, there's no change (I usually select the office icon to be shown instead of a common folder icon in the start menu)... Any idea on how can I do this again in vista? Thanks

Several of the icons on my desk top change from the icon I selected. These are links to web pages. For a while it seemed like I resolved the problem when I finally got the desktop to keep the icons small, but now the icons change on their own. They don't always revert back to the original icon. It is rather irritating if not overly important like some of the other issues with VISTA! -- megansway

Hi, I got the same problem. I've found this error on 5 other forums and tried all their suggestions. I think though with a debugger you can find the file that has the problem loading and then reload a new copy of it or a good copy. Either from the windvd install cd or windows install cd. I have a suspicion that its a dll file. I have lost the ability to see my memory key on my network profile. I can see it if I only log onto the machine. I think it is related to Norton internet which I have since removed. Any ideas?

I have Vista Premium Installed on Drive C. It lists folders under user/username/ such as desktop, documents, favorites etc. but no duplicate folders there. I also have a second drive, New Volume (L) that I use for backups and some program installations. It also lists the same folders under user/username/ but there are two folders for each i.e. 2 desktop, 2 documents, 2 downloads, 2 favorites, 2 links, etc. So I have a total of three like folders on my PC It also has six folders with no names and seem to be empty but when I delete one or all, my icons disappear from the desktop. I use Firefox, but have had the same problem with Netscape (7.2 & 8.1) But whenever I try to foward a photo from one email addr to another ('usually' from a Hotmail addr, to a yahoo addr), IE comes up, says it has forwarded it, and either fails for the most part, or says it has - but NEVER DOES. I have tried man, many times to download the Security Component upgrade from the website: http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/crlupdate/en/crlupdate.html I installed the activex component when prompted, but when I click the upgrade component, the dowload fails imediately and it directs me to windows suppoert, where I have found no applicabe solution after searching for about 3 days.
