cannot sync or see files. I have a user which seems to lose their sync connection throughout the day and when this happens then cant seem to navigate to folders and files on the network. They have to click on the sync icon in the task tray multiple times before the connection is reestablished and then they are able to see the network shares. Any clue as to why they cant see their network folders and why the sync loses its connection?

Chinese input has died on me. It was always intermittent, switching back to English without warning, but I've always been able to get it back by closing the application and reopening. Now I can't get it at all. Using XP Pro, Word 2003 and Excel 2003.

Thank you Davy. Windows XP was the OS that was on the computer prior to the format. My friend would like to keep the same OS as well (besides his comp is too old to run Vista). My best bet is to slave in a new CD drive and try that. Just in case could the RAM pose as a problem?? I hope it's not the mobo.

My "Add/Remove Programs" function in the Control Panel does not remove .NET Framework 2 and 3, for some reason. I made the mistake of installing these versions (don't ask me why, please). I can't do a restore because I will lose data that was added since the installation of the unwanted .NET Framework versions. Maybe I need to do a manual uninstall, but don't know how to go about it. I am afraid of deleting files (including registry entries) needed by other programs. Anybody know where I can find some detailed instructions? I am running Windows XP Professional, sp 2.

The print spooler service cause instability on my Vista machine. When the service is running, the Windows Sidebar doesn't work (no gadget show up and can't add any). When I try to launch Adobe Reader/Acrobat, nothing will happen. If I stop the print spooler service, all these problem will be gone. I was told that I could have some corrupted print drivers installed and it needed to be deleted. I tried enabling the print spooler service, but all the printers are not there, and again I can't add printers and do any printer related tasks. Anyone has an idea? Thanks

I am running a Windows Server 2003 Small Business Server with Service Pack 2 and have recently noticed that the wspsrv.exe process seems to require a large amount of memory. While there is approximately 495 MB of physical memory, there is 1.4GB of virtual memory used for this process. I have restarted the server multiple times but once started the memory usage returns to the same state. There are 4GB of ram installed on this server. Is this normal activity? For awhile, the server has been running somewhat slow and I am concerned that this may be part of the reason. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Aaron

Just did a clean install of XP Pro SP2 on a new machine. At shutdown, I'm seeing an error dialog referring to DW20.EXE, complaining that it failed to initialize because Windows is shutting down. I've found numerous references suggesting the fix is to turn off error reporting, but they all relate to Office 2003 (or later). Two problems here; I'm still using Office 2000 (required for compatibility with my wife's workplace), and the fix begs the question of why the error is occurring in the first place. So, what's really going on? -- Bert Hyman | St. Paul, MN | bert@iphouse.com

Hi all, I'm running Windows Xp Professional on my company notebook. When I'm shutting down the PC, there are severall programs, I don't know, if not responding, but there are messages coming to the desktop, like: ..NET-BroadcastEventWindow did not close; hpqimzone.exe did not close; yahooWidgetEngine did not close; Sometimes there´s an error with "dw20.exe" I've already run Windows Live OneCare. The only thing it found, was in registry. It fixed it, but the messages still coming on shut down. Anyone knows how to fix it?
