I have Office 2007 on my new Vista machine - in my user account, Excel has stopped working, but I can run it from the other user accounts - what gives?

Hello everyone, Any good websites that explain System Monitor and Performance Logs and Alerts. I would like step by step information and screen shots on how to use these two tools in WinXP. Some tips would also be helpful. I found the following article on the subject. I am running Vista Ultimate 64-bit on my main computer with a high speed cable modem. I want a wireless connection from this to a MacBook Pro which connects by Wi-Fi via their internal Airport system. I have a D-Link router now (108G MIMO) but, although it works fine on the Mac side, it seems to produce problems in the wired Vista 64-bit connection (processes not ending, slowdowns, connection problems). Are there some routers that are completely compatible with my setup (or am I missing something here)?

My computer was getting bogged down with misc. files so I decided to do my periodioc respawn of my computer, I have an Alienware ALX system an opted for that option. I first use my windows CD to reformat each of my drives. I have 3 HD's, 2 which are set in RAID striped. I then carry out my respawn. At this point the computer runs fine. I then go to windows update to start the wonderful 80 or so updates that require an install. However, I am unable to install update KB922582, among others, after running a custume install. When I installed a fresh copy of Windows I made the 3 users during the initial install. One of the first things I did when I signed on was to copy the backup files to C:\Documents and Settings Something strange happened. The first time I logged on to the other two names the my documents folder was duplicated. It was like Windows ignored the fact that the folder already existed and made another new one. It gave it a .pam extension because that was what I used for the main username. So what I have is one folder called Pamela and one called …

I need to add English character set to my PC. Is there a download? Where???

I'd appreciate any help I can get. It's syncing with iTunes--latest version of the software too. I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2, and using USB 2.0. But for some reason, it's synching extremely slowly. It's copied about 30 megs in the past 15 minutes. I've got about 12 gigs of files to transfer. I can't understand why it's taking so long. After downloads, and "FREE Scan" Trials of several Anti-Virus/Anti-spy/Anti-Malware vendors, my PC started freezing, and siezing, and locking up badly. I Uninstalled ALL traces(I hope) of the trial-packs' programs. Now, ALL of my programs end in *.lnk [ even on the Start button listings ], everything is sluggish-at-best, and I'm receiving frequent "Runtime Errors", MSIMN.exe errors, and "Unexplained Error" forced program terminations. I've run the MS Full Protection/Clean/Tune-up Scans, and was told that my PC has NO problems, even though the 3rd-party scans say I'm terribly infested and need to purchase their FULL packages. -- KTM, Saco, ME

I can't load services, system restore point, user accounts(starting to load then crash) also media player load but crashes when I try to open a file ,same with explorer(can't open web address (crashes)) What can I do to fix this? Thanks.

every time I install service pack 2 in my computer it causes my restart to stop working. I just install XP Professional and the same thing happened, restart won't work. It won't restart after scanning ether.

Hello. My girlfriends mum took her laptop to pc world as one of the hard drive was at fault. He removed the hard drive and disabled Sata, so it only looks at 1 drive on boot. Now I have a new (2nd)hard drive and want to enable sata raid again, so the laptop can have two drives again. Thought the option would be in the bios,but I'm just not seeing it. Please could someone point me in the right direction? Its a sony Vaio VGN-AR21S. Running Windows Vista operating system. 2 Duo processor T7200. 2 GB/go DDR2 SDram. Would be very grateful of any help. Whenever you delete or move and item i throws up a window telling you cancelling, moving, deleting, whatever and usually stays there for a minute and closes automatically. Well mine is staying there and I have to go to task manager to get it to close. If you move 50 files it will have 50 windows pop up saying 'moving' and then you can cancel them and it will have 50 windows saying 'cancelling'. I always moving, deleting, and adding files and this is driving me crazy. And suggestion on a fix, or in Vista Home Pro can I just turn off this window popping up, it still deletes, moves, or whatever but it just keeps that darn window open.

Hi all, just posting this on behalf of a mate. Everytime I switch users, my screen goes black, and the monitor says 'Optimum recommended settings 1650 x 1050 @ 60hz' That's exactly as I have it set, but still it blanks out and will not respond until the computer is restarted, which means hitting reset. It's infuriating. I've loaded new drivers for the video card and the monitor, no good. When I try to connect by IP I get the following error message "the system cannot find message text for message number 0x in the message file for \\10.10.128.1" I saw a microsoft article that referenced smart cards and I turned off the smart card authentication on my NIC.
