In the past week or so, IE7 stops working and restarts. No problem as I' m usually getting out of it anyway. Then the problem reports and solutions page pops up and tries to fix things. At that time I get a BSOD and the computer restarts. I'm running a Dell XPS 400 with a 2.8G Intell dual core 250G hdd dual boot Vista and XP

On opening Access 2007 file, Access stops responding; Task Mgr shows 2 Access app's running; On end, error message "windows can't find the file..." The file is there and OK. Log off/on clears the trouble; In one instance when I waited long enough the Db opened and seemed all OK, but also displayed the windows error message. Db is split, BE on server. Also have frequent trouble with navigation to the BE folder - stops responding; navigation to other folders on server not affected. Internet connection not affected; Log off/on clears trouble; Also sometimes stops responding on save operation & must force to exit.

Just recently reinstalled XP (SP2 included) operating system. Previous version was perfect when using the Standy By function (S3 suspend to ram set in bios) Would choose the option and monitors, hdd and fans would go off and when power button pressed PC would load instantly back into Windows logon screen. Now with the reinstall I have set it back to the way it was before but now when i choose Stand By the says saving settings the PC goes off as to enter stand by mode but instead just restarts the PC with no errors messages. Don't know whats changed since its all set the same.

both computers have XP Home, SP2, mine is computer A hers is computer B printer is X, USB connected to A computer c- wireless router. A and B share a wireless Internet connection where Internet comes from a main wireless router connected to computer C. Hi, I am attempting to read a minidump file and it says I have loaded the wrong symbols. I have downloaded the correct symbols from the Microsoft website and installed them. In the debugger I point to the symbol path but no matter what I symbols I point to after I run the debugger it says that my symbols are incorrect. I guess I need some instructions on how to use the debugger. I tried the knowledge base and attempted to do what it recommended but had no luck. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I posted this earlier inquiry <http://tinyurl.com/26wvsn> regarding lost monitor settings across reboots but got no replies. Here's a question about a different approach: Is there any way to set the relative positions of dual-head monitors and the resolution of each from the command line (i.e., with a batch file)? If I can't get Windows to remember my monitor settings across reboots, I'd at least like to be able to run a quick batch file to reset my settings. Is there some way to do this?

Hello @ all, I have following problem with update.exe on a Fujitsu Tablet PC (OS: Windows XP): The Problem occurs the first time as I tried to install IE7 because there was a problem to play embedded streaming media player videos with IE6. I noticed that I am not happy that when Windows Updates or OneCare updates have completed and restart machine. Vista Ultmate allows to auto logon administrator or administrators group. How do I prevent that if I am away from computer and during updates and restart itself without auto logon itself? It would serious exploit to unauthorisation access by any users. I checked Regedit that there is no autologon. How did Vista automatically log on itself? Much appreciation if you could help please?

Hi, for development purposes I installed a second network adapter (3Com). This has the comment (standard) added. I wish to keep the Intel adapter on board to stay standard becaus this second adapter I need only for testing purposes. Greetings Thomas
