I added this page to an existing website with step by step graphics and easy to comprehend explanations. It is available at NetOrator so just add the dot com and you are there! http://NetOrator.com eddie@SPUBOL.com This webpage refers specifically to Windows Vista Email which is the default built-in email client in the Vista O/S. Sony Vaio notebook, hard disk crash. Replaced hard disk, reloaded XP Pro from recovery CD's, no problem. Loaded SP2, no problem. Downloaded and installed latest updates (95 of them). After reboot, found the unit could not web browse. TCP/IP seems fine, can ping whatever OK. Disabled firewall and virus protection, no change. Ran IE 7's "Diagnose Connection Problems..", returned with "HTTP blocked...possible firewall...etc". Looked at the Application Log, found a number of errors from "System.ServiceModel.Ins", among them the last error was "HTTP Namespace reservations not installed." I suspect this is either a direct of indirect cause of the problem. The f…

I had Creative Memories Manager 2.0 installed in my computer and it worked fine until recently. Now when I try to start the program it give me clr error 80004005 and won't start the program. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it and it still gives me the error. I also upgraded to Windows Media Player 11 since I saw some errors due to the Media Player Library and still get the error message. Any idea's out there on how to fix it? Thanks in advance. I have Windows XP SP2 -- In the quest for knowledge.

How to uninstall HP printer drivers correctly? My Printers and Faxes folder show few the same 'HP LaserJet 3050 Series PCL 6' printers, whereas I installed only one HP PCL6 Print Driver, and then HP USB printer driver. Does this extra Printer icons reflect real HP LaserJet 3050 drivers installed in my system, or driver is only one? In anycase, I want clean extra drivers or icons. As I know the driver files are copied to a Windows system folder(system32), and I really dont want clutter system folder with various extra drivers. From other hand, HP drivers is not shown in Add/Remove program list. How to solve this?

Ever since I started using Vista Home Premium, I've had intermittant problems with my connections. Two or three times on the average day, the connection just doesn't go through. Usually I can make it work by trying again 2 or 3 times. If that fails, I can make it work by exiting IE or Outlook and immediately starting it again. I know this is not a Verizon DSL problem, because my wife, running XP, is connected to the same modem I'm hard-wired to, and she has no problems. I thought it might be a Norton 2007 firewall problem, but I've done everything they suggested with no lasting improvement. It's also not an IE7 problem, because on the internet side, …

Ever since I started running Vista Home Premium, I've had intermittant internet and Outlook connection problems. Two or three times a day, the connection just hangs up. If I try, and retry, and retry, I usually get through. If not, I always can get through by closing and reopening IE or Outlook. I know this isn't a Verizon DSL problem, because my wife's machine, running XP, is connected to the same modem and never has problems. We're both hard-wired to the modem, so it's not a wireless problem. On the IE side, it often seems the hangup is when the machine is trying to load some advertisement, on the Yahoo site for example. I've also tried to explore …

I know this thread is quite old, but I have run into this same problem. The error is caused by sysocmgr that runs to install iis and other Windows components. To get rid of this error, go to the control panel, add/remove programs, add/remove Windows Components, locate the Management and Monitoring Tools. You can remove the entire thing or just the subcomponent named "Connection Manager Components". The error will go away after this point. Don't know if this a Vista or Office 2007 problem so that is why I am posting it here. I work at a college. Three of us in our IT department are running Vista and Office 2007. Sometimes while working on a document (2003 format) we go to save it and it says file is in use by another process. If we go to another machine that is running Windows XP and Office 2003 we can open the file make changes and save it with no problems. Any one have these kind of problems? Thanks
