I am experiencing a weird problem with RDP... when I minimize a session from the Connection Bar, it insists upon maximizing on its own about every five minutes forcing me to reminimize. Anyone know what could be causing this (no other application behaves this way)?

This is a strange one. I have a XP Pro machine in a domain. It's working fine up to a point. It can access file shares on a server, it can access a mailbox on the Exchange Server via Outlook. The internet works fine, it can access other computers in the domain...everything looks fine. The trouble comes when I try to connect to it from the server or another computer in the domain. I get the "network path not found" error message. I can't even ping the computer. It shows up in the domain list but can't be connect to. The Windows firewall is turned off and no other firewall is installed... This is really strange, any thoughts or ideas? I thought maybe the caus…

Seeing XP shares from Vista Solved !!! I'm using Vista Home Premium on a home network with XP Pro (SP2) I was having no luck seeing my XP shares from Vista but had no problem accessing my Vista shares from the XP machine. For the fun of it I decided to check my Zone Alarm Logs on the XP machine to see if the attempts where being made. What did I discover? Yes they were as well as being allowed. What I discovered though is that all the connection attempts where using port 80. Hmmmmm I thought. I then went back to the XP shares and enabled Web Sharing and turning on Read and Directory Browsing. Since I only allow port 80 in my trusted zone I have no real…

Hey guys and gals... I have a problem with XP - I just had the hard drive formatted and XP reinstalled at a shop, and now have xp back up and running. However, I am having major dramas with programs that are downloaded and installed from the net. I will usually run the setup from the location and then install it on the system. Once installed, I open the program to find that the font or language or something is definitely wrong. For example, I open up a program and on the buttons I have things like " aa a o" and then "a s ra a" or a field which is obviously some sort of option it has "a s usuh". There is nothing that makes sense or anything that I can…
