Check the Array Controller Utility to see that the process is complete a…

I somehow manged to mangle my config such that I lost connection to the internet. I was unable to restore the connection and eventually ran out of ideas and opted to reinstall windows (not a lot of fun!). I ran a diagnostic which gave the following error message: 'NetBT transports test. . . . . . . : Failed List of NetBt transports currently configured: [FATAL] No NetBt transports are configured.' For future reference, can anyone advise what that message means (in a little detail) and what steps are required to correct it. I have an uneasy feeling there is a straightforward way of fixing it rather than the nuclear option I took. tks Marc

As shown above, from Dr Watson log, this error casuses an error pop up window at each boot up, and is the same for each occurance. It is involved with Svchost.exe PID 820, is there other log info that would be useful in order to advise me on the solution? Any relevant advise regarding the possible solutions for the errror are requested and apprieciated! TIA

I have a client with three machines. Each machine is operating under Windows XP Home Edition. Each machine has all updates installed and would appear to be identical. However one machine has a strange reaction when attempting to create a new folder on the root directory of the C: drive. The folder is created okay with the default name of "New Folder". When an attempt is made to rename the folder an error message appears with the title of "Error Renaming File of Folder". The critical error icon appears on the message box. The text within the message box is: "Cannot rename New Folder: It is being used by another person of program." "Close any programs …

Hello folks, Having a problem with subject application. For the most part it simply does not work. On rare occasions it seems to kick in for a time then a re-start later and it is off. There may be some connection between this problem and Adobe Photoshop CS2 but this is unclear. There was an update in 2007 from the original Vista version of Media Player therefore I can not use the setup program to repair or reinstall. Does anyone know which upgrade this was so that possibly removing it will allow for reinstallation of Media Player 11 which is what event viewer recommends for this error. Any help on removing the update or otherwise solving this …

I have a driver being installed for an AC79 onboard, laptop chipset. I view the details and get the name of the file... ac97intel.sys (intel chipset). I'm shown the location being in system32\drivers. Yet I can't find the file. Why? I have a Analog devices chipset for AC97 audio(AD1881) and am trying to get full use of that codec. But it's next to impossible with Vista always reinstalling its most favorite driver. I have had success with the Soundmax driver so I know it works. But installation is not a sure thing for whatever reason. So I would like to isolate the Vista choice and feed Device Manager my choice... which I know works. Thanks for any…
