Hi all.... I've run into this problem (again) and there's GOT to be a solution.... A friend's hard disk started to puke. So I got a new one, formatted and installed a fresh copy of XP on it, and mounted the old hard disk in the same machine as a slave (happens to be F:) The old hard disk, now F:, seems to still run well enough to be able to "see" the contents and manually copy stuff over to the new C: Is there a way to run the files and settings transfer wizard on F: and restore them to C:?? TIA
