I'm having problems syncing my smartphone. At first it was I was getting a error code. It seemed that there were two different names for my PC. Therefore I deleted one but it still didn't work. Then I deleted the other and tried syncing again. How it says connection disabled. When I go into mobile device center and turn on allow USB connections, the selection is not saved. I'm logged in as administrator also. I'm about ready to seem this PC back and get XP. Please help, there's no error on device manager either.

Greetings Windows XP Support folks! We have a document imaging process wherein i create a file in InDesign, print through the XImage driver, create a file and pass off to our printer. About a month ago we started getting errors in the final print: pieces were missing, sometimes we'd get blank pages, sometimes just pieces of pieces would be missing. After a long month of e-mail troubleshooting with XImage support to no avail, I was told that the problem could be with Windows GDI. THe folks at XImage support have exhausted their usefulness so I thought I'd poke around over here. Any ideas on why the XImage driver would stop working suddenly with Windows GDI? I…

My computer recognizes the machine, but I only have access to the drives through jukebox management software. Is there another way that I can access the drives: say from Media Player or other programs? Any thoughts or help would be most appreciated.

Hi everyone, We've been periodically seeing the following error message on all 4 of our Windows 2003 DC/DNS servers: Source: LSASRV Category: SPNEGO (Negotiator) Type: Warning Event ID: 40960 Description: The Security System detected an authentication error for the server cifs/127.0.0.1. The failure code from authentication protocol Kerberos was "There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request. (0xc000005e)". The error message only seems to happen occasionally, but this morning we lost DNS on all 4 servers. After rebooting all 4 servers, DNS is back. I have no idea why DNS bombed out, but I noticed the above error message a…

Two and a half years ago, I wrote an article entitled Intel: The one-hit wonder. My conclusion, at the time, was that Intel's business and operating model--built around its dominance in PC processors--is a trap that has kept the chip giant from competing effectively in hot markets like communications and consumer electronics. With Intel Developer Forum in full swing in the city by the bay, I found myself wondering, has anything changed since I wrote that story and is the conclusion still valid? In my opinion, the answers are no and yes, respectively. Don't get me wrong. Intel is still the world's 800-pound chip gorilla. It's actually made quite a comeback f…

Running: Windows Vista Ultimate Outlook 2007 Pantech PN-820 SmartPhone Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 I have an unusual problem. When I sync my phone with Outlook, about 2-3 weeks worth of calendar items gets deleted from Outlook during the sync. The appointments in question are all about a month old. It keeps appointments older and newer than that time period. I have the sync set up to keep 3 months of past appointments in the Calendar setup. I can't figure out why it is doing this. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

WDS with Outlook 2007 simply doesn't work - results are inconsistent at best. Repeating a search gives completely different results from today to tomorrow. After trying all possible combinations of indexing options and waiting for days for indexes to rebuild and re-test I finally have to give up (they're not paying me to test paid-for software) and installed Google desktop. A search is simply useless if you cannot trust it. This must be a particularly clever strategy for the battle with Google in the software arena. I have to admit it's so clever I am not able to appreciate it.
