I need to know how disable the Syncronization activity. I can't remove the syncronization icon in my notify area and also i have a Syncronization relationship shown in Syncronization center for a folder in one of the PC in local network, and i would like delete it, but there are no options to do that.I don't need anymore that sync relation for file but vista give no possibility to delete it or disable the sync,as shown in notify area the icon is still present. How can i do?

Hi, I have some problems now twice times the same: On the desktop I'll found the information, to send a bugform to the support center for the software : SMS-manager. After a while the system shut down, like black out. No information, nothing. If I start the system again - with administrator - the system will start all programs and after 3 min or 5 mind or 10 min shut down . If I start the system als an other user - not as administrator - the computer works without any problems. If I change it to the administrator user the computer shut down. What is that? I've deinstalled the SMS-Manager: no result. looking for help

I have been having an issue with this particular piece. I installed some software that required Midi, but it wouldn't play because it said I didn't have any Midi output So I checked my device manager, and in the Sound tree, I have an unknown device. So I try to update the unknown device, and it says it is going to update 'MEDIA'. So I try the update, and it says 'There was a problem installing this software: "Microsoft Kernel GS Wavetable Synthesizer" An error occurred during the installation of the device The data is invalid So I have searched around everywhere, posted in tech support forums here and there, but have never gotten a response, only another…

Hi all, I have the following setup: NTP client: Single domain controller (Windows 2003 SP1) with w32time service running. Being the only DC in the domain (and forest), it has all FSMO roles including the PDC-role. NTP server: GNU/Linux running ntpd at stratum-2. The w32time service har been configured using: "net time / setsntp:<ip_of_linux_ntp_server>" + net stop/start w32time. Problem: When starting the w32time service (or when running "w32tm /resync"), the PDC announces itself as being a stratum-1 server, so when the NTP- server - being a stratum-2 server - receives NTP requests from the PDC, it silently ignores the requests from the PDC. …

Hello, I've got an issue where my screenshots won't paste into paint but will into Word. However, it's all black with a faint outline of items on the screen. See the linked image below. . . After a reboot, it will work for a while, then it reverts to what I've described above. Any suggestions? Thanks, Craig

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/another-desktop-cube-for-windows-xpvista/ The Desktop Cube effect for Linux is extremely popular because people love eye candy, but the choices for Windows are much less interesting. The latest utility to give this effect for Windows is surprisingly fast, and works on both XP and Vista. Of course, Keyboard Ninjas prefer keyboard shortcuts to snazzy desktops, but that's not the point is it? Here's the screen in action, which is surprisingly fast on my Vista laptop. .........see the rest on the link I provided........

I have noticed that performance logs created on 2K3 three boxes take alot longer to open than on 2K boxes. If I have two identical servers collecting the same counters in system monitor the 2K3 box takes alot longer to open the same size log file. The only differnce between the servers is the OS. Any ideas on what to look for? So far I have: Tried the test on two newly built servers Tried to open the log file on servers that did not create the log file Rebuilt the performance counters per Microsoft KB

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/index-your-pdf-documents-with-foxit-ifilter-for-vista/ Geeks everywhere have embraced the lightweight and free Foxit PDF reader instead of using Adobe reader, but did you realize that you can index PDF files without Adobe installed on your computer? You might be thinking. isn't it working already? What you don't realize is that Adobe Reader also installs an IFilter that helps Windows index your documents. Installation (see rest of article on page. see link above)
