unable to update thro windows updates try remaning software distribution to ..old stll unabe to update please help

I have an important update to install on my PC (KB929729) but am unable to do so. I get a 643 error which directs me to type in "services.msc" in RUN so as to permit me to enable Office Source Engine (OSE). When I get into this application I cannot find OSE or, Office Source Engine. The above mention update is the only one that I am unable to have installed. Am I missing something? Would appreciate some help in this matter -- Floridaguy

I need to install SP2 on 2 servers. However on reading the notes it advises that ADAM needs SP1 installing before apply 2003 SP2. How do I tell what version of ADAM is currently installed, because I suspect a previous engineer may have already installed this update to ADAM. Please bear with me as I am new to this !

We are still running a 16-Bit program with Access-DataBase. With XP it is stable - no problems. There is no installation, because all files needed are in program folder. I testet it on Vista Ultimate english version. - It ran quite good. - No problems! BUT on Vista Business chinese version it does not run stable. Especially in pop-up menus there are some additional lines with chinese text! I checked the Vista localization (english) with the Unicode settings. Is there someone who knows, where this chinese text comes from?

I have redirected the My documents folder of all my laptop clients (XP SP2) to a share on 2003 Server. These folders are set up to be available offline. When my laptop users leave the office for longer than a day, the cached copy of the My documents folder disappears. They then cannot see any data. They do connect to the office network over a normal VPN and the folder does try to sync but gets cancelled or fails due to the link. When they get back the office, it syncs up again fine. Does anyone know why the cached copy would disappear? Does it have anything to do with a failed synchronisation attempt? Also, can anyone tell me a recommended setting for the "con…
