I just purchased a new notebook with the Windows Vista OS. I have installed the iTunes software for my iPOD. When I try to sync my iPOD, it will sync my music files but does not sync my photo files. I get an error message: "Cannot sync iPOD. You do not have enough access priveleges to perform this operation" I store my photos on an external hard drive linked to the notebook through a USB 2.0 port. I have tried to change the ownership of the individual folders as well as for the entire harddrive itself. I am the administrator on this computer. Where do I go from here? Dwaine

I recnetly purchase the keyboard/mouse wireless combo 5000, My mouse works fine yet the keboard doesnt respond at all. I changed the batteries several times --but nothing. The extent of it is that I get a brief green light coming on the keyboard (upper right corner) for a few minutes and then it fades out. Its like the keyboard is dead but since it is new and since this happened to me once before --I am hoping it is some setting tht I am missing ( the reason I bought a new one is my old one stopped responding). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

As I move the cursor across a page (using the mouse) it sticks on the edge of some fields and won't allow me to move the cursor across the field. I can defeat this by either very rapidly moving the cursor or by approaching the desired field from another direction. I haven't found anything in my settings that should cause this. The condition is most dramatic when using internet applications. Any suggestions?

Now that I have installed the LifeCam 1.3 software that came with the VX-1000 I received as a gift, my computer no longer will open any "Help" windows for me!!! If I click on "Help" on almost any program that I have that uses the Internet for accessing support, it just hangs up and does not open any help pages! And I need HELP!!! I need help getting back to being able to open "Help"!! Thanks!!

We recently copied our files from a Novell Server to a Windows NT Server. On the NT side, if we go to My Computer and look at some of the files there appears to be a clock or a symbol of some sort right under or embedded in the icon for the file. Does anyone know what this symbol stands for? The same file does not have this little symbol in the old Novell Environment.

Hello, When I lock my computer (CTRL+L), the screensaver does not ever start. The screensaver starts on its own after the timeout if I don't lock it, but my computer sits unlocked until it does. Is there a way to change this? CTRL+ALT+DEL login is required. I don't have a wireless mouse (or keyboard). Thanks

We had a company merger, the old CA Server is not longer. We have installed a new CA and a subordinate CA server to issue certificates. Is there a way to find out all the certificates installed on all the windows server across the domain so these certficates can be renewed? BM

im having a problem with my external hdd, i have two, one WD external works fine with vista, then i go to use my new one (formatted it using xp etc_) on my laptop with vista and it wont pick it up >< i mean surely something natively supported by xp would be natively supported by vista as well. Unless im doing something wrong....lol...but my usb mouse and other external etc etc was all picked up fine. I plug my hdd in and it comes up installing drivers, then says windows needs to install software for your USB to ATA/ATAPI bridge, then i click locate and and install automatically, then it just goes into USB to ATA/ATAPI bridge driver failed. i hav…

It has happened a few times that the server becomes unavailable (users can't log in), and I have to re-activate the server. The specific event id's that appear in the applciation log are 1000, followed by 1011. When this error occurs, I have no difficulty re-activating the server online, via the activation wizard. After the install I rebooted and now the server can't get to Windows update or any other website. I can still remote desktop to the server and i've tried installing IE7 x64 edition but to no avail. DNS is working but when i try to go to a website there is a syn_sent message listed in 'netstat - a' but never a reply. The windows firewall service isn't on and i've run out of things to check. If you have any ideas please let me know.

When I use dreamscene my computer won't go to sleep. The only way I can get it to go blank is to use a blank screensaver and the computer stays on all the time. Is there a way to fix this? Is it a bug? Is there an update for this? I like the dreamscene but I need for my computer to sleep or suspend activity at night. Thanks for any help.

One day when I started the PC the language bar did not appeared despite the fact that the Language Bar line was checked. Deselecting and selecting again the Language Bar line, the box appeared but the languages were not changing (from mouse or key sequence). I tried many things like Adding or Removing the languages from Control Panel Regional Options but nothing works. If I make GR as primary language then the second one EN appears but with the same problem. I select it and the system remains at GR

I have six gadgets on my sidebar of these the thesaurus and the redirection to Google Ebay etc have stopped working. All the others that I tried from those previously downloaded are fine. These include a weather report and a radio. Also I can't laod new gadgets from the net either from my current gadgets bank or directly. Anyone got any ideas.

When I print the weekly calendar, it shows the times for the whole day, from 12AM to 11PM. So the top and bottom half of the page is all shaded and the 'real' day is squished in the middle. I have the default day set to 8am to 5pm. Does anyone know how to fix this? I never had this problem in Outlook! -- Laura S.
