If I run this same command in "Windows XP embedded", it shares the printer successfully but end up with a popup as "Operation Could not be completed" .Since I am executing this command from c# code, the executing is not moving to next line and application hangs up. The only difference I can see between two OS is, the "Windows XP embedded" has "printui.dll version 5.1.2600.1106" and "Windows XP" has version "5.1.26…

I can't connect to the Internet with IE (latest version on XP Pro) . Funny thing is Outlook Express works perfectly and so does FireFox. But for some reason IE just won't connect. It stays there for minutes just burning rubber. I ran sfc /scannow and that didn't do anything. What are some other things I should do to figure this out? J

I've installed PerfectDisk for defragmentation and have unchecked run on a schedule on the Vista Disk Defragmenter. When I restart or do a cold boot the Vista Disk Defragmenter runs an analysis of the disk this takes typically about 10 mins and is unnecessary and bothersome as I have a third party product that performs this function at 4:00 AM. I would like to disable the analysis of the disk, can this be done? Thanks Kasey

Is Microsoft's American Flag screensaver compatible with Vista? Every time I use it, I get an "Ameri~.scr has stopped working" error. I had no problem with it when I ran XP. I copied the file over to my Vista computer, and I thought that might be the cause. But I downloaded it again from Microsoft's web site with the same result.

The key combination Alt+W does not work in MS Office or any other application installed. All are legal versions and work fine in all other respects. Problem occurs regardless of whether or not I am using the built-in keyboard on my laptop or an external keyboard. I am using the WINDOWS XP Professional operating system. -- Thanks, Mike

A folder has appeared on my desktop labelled '%SystemDrive%'. In it are folders DandS\user\app dat\MS\SysCerts\My\CRLs etc. I have no idea how this came to be on the desktop but I had been copying a lot of files yesterday and suppose it is possible I might have accidentally moved this one. Any ideas how this got there and where it really belongs, and how to get it back there? It is not a shortcut. Thanks in advance, S
