Sorry for the double post. I also posted in the SBS NG and should have posted here first. I have a DELL Power Edge 4600 server running W2K3 SP1 The server has an integrated dual channel Perc 3Di RAID controller. On one is my OS configured RAID 1 (2 x 18GB) SCSI drives. On the second channel is my Data RAID 5 (6 X 73GB - 1 hot spare) SCSI drives. On my Data array I have 1 single primary partition. The new drive I added is part of the RAID5 set and of course it shows as "Unallocated". I want to extend my primary partition to include this new drive. Can this be done using Partition Magic or can anyone suggest a better tool and procedure of doing this.thanks in avan…

Something has happened to my wife's shared documents folder. I can no longer access it through our network. I can see it, but none of the sub folders show up and when I try to access it, I get an access denied message. All other folders in her "All Users" directory are fine. I have since recreated a "shared documents" folder and moved everything to that folder and all is well. Now I would like to delete the old "shared documents" folder which is now empty and I can't because it is a "system" folder. Is there any way around this? -- DC

Hello all, The company I'm working for is currently looking into sorting out a software escrow service for our clients. We host a bespoke application that uses IIS to host the front end, MS SQL Server as the backend and some business logic in between. What we would like to do is provide the escrow company with a pre-built platform that our clients would be entitled to, that could host their data in the event that our company goes under. We were thinking that we could do this by supplying the escrow company with a set of virtual machines for this purpose, which they would then keep in storage. My question is - what implications does this have with regards…

A review of my security logs reports a number of users logging in to the network successfully from a valid network machine at 5:46 in the morning. We are a school with no remote access and the building is locked. Once the machine was identified I checked the logs on that machine and ran spybot but everything showed up clean. Question: Could a student have not logged off when they finished working on a machine and the repeated events have something to do with Kerberos checking and reissuing tickets? Observation: I ran a virus scan on one of the servers overnight and was logged in as a user with the machine locked. When I checked the logs on that mach…
