I have a share that is mapped (T:\) to my pc when I search (regular old WinXP search function) within a folder on that mapped drive (T:\DOCUMENTS\) I get a strange result, you can view a screenshot here... http://baumshelter.net/search.JPG The text I use (partial file name, no wildcards) to search has no effect...still same results. When I just search T:\ I get the correct results. Any ideas???

MS Search is problematic?
by Guest MapleE.- 0 replies

Hi: Since last week or so, when I click one of tiny box with picture on the right pane, the site comes right away. Afterwards, I clicked the word on the left-pane, I am NOT able to access the site. There is only part of the desired site that is useless to access. Wonder whether MS Search/Live Search with Google got screwed-up or some transition to change? I only access the desired site by clicking tiny boxes/picture on the right-pane. In the past, I could easily access any sites by clicking either the word of the left-pane or a tiny picture on the right-pane. Any help would be truly appreciated.

Internet Explorer 'hangs' after KAV install
by Guest Roger Blake- 0 replies

I'm working on an XP Home SP2 system that developed a problem after uninstalling AVG antivirus and installing Kaspersky Anti-Virus in its place. (This may be coincidental, I've installed KAV on a lot of machines and never run into this kind of problem.) What occurs is that when Internet Explorer is run, it just "hangs" with an hourglass, and does not display anything. This pretty much locks up the whole machine, which needs to be forcibly reset to regain control. Unistalling Kaspersky did not fix the problem, nor did installing the IE7 update. (IE7 is unable to bring up its intitial configuration screen, same symtoms.) On the other hand, Mozilla Firefox work…

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I'm running Windows Vista Business on a Virtual Machine (on VMWare's ESX) I've got a Vista Business Virtual Machine, and i've added it to a Domain thats being run from a Windows 2003 Domain Controller. However, i cannot activate REMOTE ACCESS on the Vista Business VM. Each time i do, it tells me i need to activate Windows Firewall. However each time i attempt to activate the Windows Firewall, its not allowed, the service will not start due to dependency issues. Can anyone help me with activating the Windows Firewall? Thanks!
