Hi, I have an voip application that uses winsock2. In PC when i do FD_ISSET for readFds , it returns the read fdset when the socket connection fails(network cable unplugged) and hence when i try to do a read operation on the returned set, i get an error.Thus enabling me to detect the socket failure in PC. However the same application when run in WinCE device, using the same Winsock2, does not behave the way mentioned above. I am unable to detect the socket failure in the WinCE device. Why is it that the same winsock api behave differently in PC and WinCE based device though the winsock2 apis are the same ? Expecting a positive response. Regards, …

I am using Windows XP 2004 Media. As I understand it is the same as proffesional. Whenever I attempt to find localhost in I.E. I get HTTP 500 Internal Server Error. Website cannot display this page. I am check to see if Internet Information Services is functioning. I uninstalled and then re-installed IIS. Rebooted the computer and still it cannot find http://localhost. Any suggestions so that I can see the local host would be greatly appreciated. HankL

Is this happening when you try to access OWA from a diffrent location ? I have seen this issue before not 100% on what fixed it but I update my IE 7.0 to the latest version, cleaned out the cache and reloaded and it work, however mines did work from other locations... hope this helps. I'm also having the same problem. But when I try and open the cd, my dvd player asks me to insert a cd. Drivers are updated and device manager says everything is working properly. I think it might be a registry error but i have no idea how to fix that. My computer is a custom computer I built it myself. It has a dual core Intel 1.5 GHz Processor, 2 GB of memory and a 350 gig hard drive. It is running Windows Vista 64 My problem is some times when I go to boot it up it goes thru the post test and starts to boot. BUT then the screen goes black ( with a dark glow ) it will stay that way for five to 10 minutes, and no matter what I do it will not boot up until it is ready up to 15 minutes. Then it will operate normally until another MS update comes along, Any suggestions Please.
