Thanks for everyone helping me add the Thai language!!! I'm still having two problems with Vista and the Thai language. I had XP on my old computer and was able to read emails in Thai from Yahoo and I have an english-thai dictionary that used to work on my old computer and was able to install on Vista but the thai text is not working. Thanks again in advance for your help.

Those who have foolishly installed the Powertoy "Microsoft Virtual Desktop Manager" - as I did - soon discover that when they uninstall it, it does not uninstall fully and leaves debris all over. One of the peskiest ones to get rid of is the Taskbar toolbar which continues to show "Desktop Manager" even after that toolbar is no longer functional! Kelly (great guy) has now created a reg file to remove that toolbar. The XP Tweak is found at http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm # 401 right side. Thank you Kelly! Another way to get rid of "Microsoft Virtual Desktop Manager" is to Restore to before it was installed rather than try to uninstall…

We currently use the code below to verify that a QFE is installed properly after it is installed online. We want to do the same thing after installing QFEs offline. Is there a way to do this programatically, similar to this method? What we have found is that no offline applied QFEs show up in this method currently. They do however appear in the Installed updates in the control panel. They also show up in WMI, but there is no flag for either operation or resultcode. In order to keep our global community comfortable that the updates are applied properly we need to log that the installs were successful programatically. Set objSession = CreateObject("…

hello, I'm about to roll out a couple of windows 2003 sql server 2005 for a financial platform (banking industry). the servers use local hard disks to boot (drive c) but are attached to a san for holding data (drive d). now I noticed that the local sas disks are 15k rpm fast, while the disk hosted on the san only is 5k fast. I don't have that much know how with san solutions, but is it normal that san disks are so slow (our san is from hitachi) ? would it be better to use local disks for our sql server (the databases are used very heavily) ? does rpm makes a big difference in terms of sql server operations ? thanks in advance for any help. regards, z…
