Im running windows web server 2008 on my workstation, and its working pretty well, except for a little thing. When i try to run certain programs, i get this error: Windows cannot open this program because the license enforcement system has been tampered with or become corrupted. I googled it and tried the software restriction policy method, but without luck... Anyone has any idea why? -- --------------------------------- --- -- - Posted with NewsLeecher v3.9 Final Web @ http://www.newsleecher.com/?usenet ------------------- ----- ---- -- -

New Vista Home Premium SP1 user, new Vista machine... I tried to open an MS-Access database on a local network mapped network drive and got a message "MS-Acess cannot open this file. It is located outside your intranet or on an untrusted site. MS Access will not open this file due to potential security problems" How do I shut this feature off completely - not just for this file, but globally for this machine? I suppose there are people who need this level of security hand holding, I sure don't. Thanks,

The era of virtualisation is now fully upon the technology industry. For businesses to thrive, adapting to the changing needs of their customers is paramount. For businesses to win, they must deliver the right solutions at the right time, and offer propositions that are more attractive to their customers than a competing solution. One word describes the nature of this kind of business environment: dynamic. The ability of business and the people that constitute it is not just to survive, but thrive in the face of these dynamic demands and that is a direct function of the capability and fitness of the infrastructure of business systems that underpin and support the…

When I type something into the search box in Outlook 2007 on my Vista SP1 laptop I get the following message: "Instant Search encountered a problem while trying to display search results. Modifying your query may resolve this problem." Well, modifying the query doesn't resolve the problem although it does eventually go away by itself only to return again the next day or so. What is causing this error and how do I fix it or avoid it happening? -- And loving it, -Qu0ll (Rare, not extinct) _________________________________________________ Qu0llSixFour@gmail.com [Replace the "SixFour" with numbers to email me]

I am heading up a project to evaluate Vista for use by my employer, and one of the things that we want to test is the power savings that may be associated with Vista as a result of enhanced power management features. To test this we have purchased a device called a Watts Up Pro, which measures the power usage of any device that you plug into it. The Watt's Up Pro will log the power usage data, which can then be retrieved from the device and imported into something like Excel so that it can be charted. We plan to run Vista with the power management features configured to save the maximum amount of power. We will then install XP on the SAME machine and…

I have Notebook and Desktop PC running Vista (32/64bit) using this printer thru a Netgear RangeMax Wireless-N router. Both PCs are attached to the router via ethernet and the printer is attached to the router via 802.11g (wireless). I have found that the HP software (HP Digital Imaging Monitor) will hang if the printer is powered off at PC startup. This hung state will also cause the HP Solution Center software to hang if it is started. I have reported the problem to HP and I hope this will be fixed in the next update to there software. A temperary fix for those who turn off their printer when it is not in use is to remove or disable "HP Digital Im…
