The Magnifier came on for me and I was annoyed. So rather than reboot, I went to the web to see how to turn it off. I see others have the same issue I had. In my case, the magnification was not caused by Vista since the control panel -ease of use magnifier checkbox was not checked. I found that my mouse software was the issue. I have the wireless intellimouse explorer 2.0 from microsoft. So under start-all programs- microsoft mouse-microsoft mouse, I noticed that the small thumb button is set to start the magnifier (and turn it off too). I am changing this setting because I really don't want to accidentally turn that on again. -- jvance

I want to allow users to create files and folders in the root drive, but I also want the rest of the folders in the tree to have seperate access. When I create a (BENCOMP/Users) permission for full control, but for folder and files only, it applies it to all of the child folders. Is there a way to prevent this? -- ACiD GRiM

Every time I boot I get a pop-up window asking "Do you want to install Microsoft OLE automation?" There are two option: yes and no. If I select yes it starts to install. Then I'm told there are newer files existing, do I want to overwrite existing files? A yes answer and it continues, a no answer it stops. If I select no the pop-up window goes away and booting completes. No matter what I do the next time I boot I get the same damn pop-up window with the same question. How do I get rid of this annoying window? I have XP MCE, Service Pack 3. I'm not positive but I think this started when I installed SP3.
