    Started by Guest Jim,

Thanks, Jim don't know of any product called Office 2002, but Office 2003 installs just fine. I'm running it, lots of others are running it. You'll need to be more specific about how you're trying to install it and what the error message is for us to help, but I don't know of any significant issues. There's one printer-type driver that doesn't work, if I remember correctly, but certainly nothing major. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/blogs/xperts64 http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/charlie.russel Wasn't Office 2002, actually labeled Office XP? That is what I had, I did not bother trying to install in my Vista Ultimate 64 bit though, I found t…

We are looking to move our shared fax over to a Windows 2008 server and would first like to know if the number of allowed fax devices is increased in 2008. In Windows 2003 Standard there is a limit of 4 devices allowed per server. Does anyone know if this has changed in 2008? Thanks, Dana

Maybe you should look up "Percent" http://www.mathleague.com/help/percent/percent.htm#whatisapercent You mention 20 Per Cent. Are some items costing 20 for a penny? So if you get 20 Per Cent, you could get 20 gallons of gas for a penny, or 20 pieces of gum? I unchecked allow "Show friendly HTTP error messages in I.E. internet options under the Advanced tab. Then I get the following error message: Active Server Page Error 'ASP 0201' involid default script language the default script language specified for this application is invalid. You can start by using two GPOs, one for Vista and one for XP and use WMI filtering to apply the policies. I have been receiving the following error message on my Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 many, many times every morning this week: "Faulting application localagent.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module localagent.exe, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00029b2f." I purchased a HP Proliant DL100 G2 about a year ago, and up until now it has been working just fine. It has been in production for over 7 months and this has not been an issue until just this past Monday morning. Over the weekend I made a number of changes, and now the process localagent.exe is throwing alot of errors into the application event log that aren't very helpful. I also get numerous pop-u…

Hello. I have a need to rotate (replace) the WPA encryption key on about 50 laptops. Is there an easier way than logging into each machine remotely and replacing the WPA key? I currently do not use a radius server for wireless access. I noticed somone linked to this utility in another message. http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wireless_key.html Will this work for replacing keys? Thank for any info. Doug D

I have a microsoft wireless transceiver for bluetooth 2.o that controls my mouse and keyboard. It plugs into my USB port. I can only assume the ms XP driver has been corupted. I have removed and loaded the software several times, but it will not install the wireless radio for bluetooth. Everything I have read says that it is included in the xp sp2. I have sp3, so it will not re-install the sp2 pack, which includes this driver. Any clue as to how and where to get this driver for re-installation? I have tried a new transciever 3rd party, but it does not install the microsoft ones I need for my original ms transceiver, and it "goes to sleep" …

Using latest Windows XP Pro SP3 with all latest updates... If there is a better forum for this question, please advise. I use the PowerToy Tweak UI to skip the logon screen when you start windows (it is a simple checkbox). It has worked fine in the past, but now the check box unchecks it self every now and then, causing the logon screen to reappear, and I cannot figure out why. I reinstalled the PowerToy, but that did not correct the problem. The PowerToy URL is: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx Any idea what the problem is? Is there another more dependable way to set windows to skip the logon screen for a p…

Just so everyone will know... whenever you see a familiar nick but with a stupid addition to it, you know its spanky de monkey. This moron is troll supremo... The classic spinal cord response from this idiot is this: (spinal cord because it lacks any sign of brain) step 1) It sees something it doesn't like posted by a member of this newsgroup. step 2) it assumes the nick of the original poster, but adds something incredibly stupid to the nick step 3) It goes into berserker-lunatic mode, and stalks the original poster, and finds all prior posts of them and makes sure it copy pastes the same exact stupid flame response to them... This behavior does no…
