Is anyone running Windows 2000 able to view the videos at NBCOlympics.com? I know they use Silverlight, and Silverlight 2.0 is supported under Windows 2000 as long as you use IE 6 SP1. I haven't installed Silverlight 2.0 yet, and when I go to NBCOlympics.com and try to pull up a video, a pop-up from NBC says that they only support XP and Vista. Wondering if anyone with W2K and Silverlight 2.0 can verify if they can view the live streaming or not.

Getting quite a few WMI errors . I did not check to see if these errors were present before the upgrade, but I did look after upgrading the server to 4GB of RAM. The /PAE switch is in the boot.ini, but seems to make no difference whether or not that switch is present. Some samples of errors are... Event filter with query "select * from MSMCAEvent_PCIBusError where (type = 2147811410) and (LogToEventlog <> 0)" could not be (re)activated in namespace "//./root/WMI" because of error 0x80041010. Hi, To start a program with other user credentials you can right click on the program file or its shortcut and choose Run As command. You will be prompted with a dialog box that has two options: Current user and The following user. By default the first option is set. The fact is that in almost all cases you run this dialog to launch a program or tool with other user credentials. So you first have to click "The following user" option, and only after that you will be able enter the creds. Above all when you choose the second option the System administrator name will be chosen by default. Is it possible to set "The following user" as the default option…

I've been working on a friend's laptop. It had IE7 and SP2. Normally, I would downgrade from IE7 to IE6 before upgrading to SP3 (and *then* upgrade back to IE7 in order to have more flexibility -- once you are at SP3, it's impossible to go from IE7 back to IE6 unless you go back to SP2 first!). Okay, this is what happened: BTW, I used a disc burned from the .iso found here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2FCDE6CE-B5FB-4488-8C50-FE22559D164E&displaylang=en After SP3 was successfully applied, a new icon appeared on the desktop. Previously there had been only a "poor-man's IE shortcut icon" on the desktop (the kind with the …

Hi, using server 2008 (32/64 version) i noticed mount points are recursive followed especially in this case (see steps 1-2), has anyone knows how it can be stopped? step 1 ) mounting shadow copy of volume X on volume X step 2) create additional shadow copy of the same volume X and mount it again on volume x(different location) as result the second mounted shadow copy(step 2) contains the first mount point of the previous shadow(step 1) 1. in server 2003 the behavior was different, mounted shadows where not followed 2. now the first mount point as two paths, the original and inside the second mounted shadow copy 3. after few steps a…
