Thanks for all your help :). So I use voice over ip for my work phone calls and I have all my client files in Excel so I am able to use the Sip Url code to make calls directly from my Excel but on Access it doesn't seem to let me. I like access and its Contact Organizer because it has a lot more functionality. One side note: what are digital signatures exactly? My work emails often times end up in client's spam folders (maybe because it has "loan" in the email address). If I acquired a digital signature, would it stop this or is there anything I can do??? Thanks so much and I appreciate all the help! -- xxsassxx31

AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface) NCQ ( Native Command Queuing) (puts commands to HD in order) Got a new drive (Seagate ST3 750 330 AS), and thought I'd try this NCQ stuff. Set BIOS to AHCI and AHCI BIOS. The BIOS did pick up all my SATA drives on the AHCI BIOS. However, Vista started up (progress bar) but about 5-10 secs later, a BSOD flashed and it re-booted. I looked up AHCI on MSKB and found this:(that is, I reset BIOS to IDE, re-booted, and then looked it up) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922976/en-us I could sorta remember that BSOD flashing by as a STOP, so I tried it . Voila - reboot after setting BIOS to AHCI and AHCI BIOS on, Vista…

So, I set up the Default Domain Policy under Group Policy Management in Server Manager in Windows Server 2008 for Folder Redirection. The settings I chose were Basic (Redirect everyone's folder to the same location), and under Target Folder Location, "Create a folder for each user under the root path" was chosen. The Root Path is set as \ \SageRealtyDC.SageRealty.local\SageRealtyUsers. I set up SageRealtyUsers as a Share and gave Everyone Full Control. From most of what I read on the subject of Folder Redirection, this should create a folder in the SageRealtyUsers folder when the user logs in using this new policy for the first time, and copy the My Documents…

Hi I am running Win XP Home (SP 3). After re-installing my HP PSC 750 driver, I am constantly receiving Delayed Write Error messages. I cannot disable the write caching on the drive as it is "greyed" out on the Policies tab of the drive properties. I have also tried through the device manger, without success. Is there a way to desable this in the registry? I have looked at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System \CurrentControlSet\Services\Lanman server\Parameters which many sites recommend setting the value to 0. My question is what "item" in this registry setting must be set to 0? Am I on the right track to solve the problem? Do you have any other solutions? Than…

New to this newsgroup? Then you don't know about the idiot Frank. This fool spends most of his day here blustering, lying and engaging in personal attacks. Lower than a snake crawling on it's belly Frank fancies himself the Gatekeeper and watchdog of this newsgroup. Yes, this idiot thinks it is his job to defend Microsoft. Frank is a mutt. A absolutely nobody. Naturally he tries to make you think otherwise pretending to be handsome, rich and clever. This dope has no talent, no tact or any redeeming qualities of any kind. At home, my Vista Ultimate doesn't allow me to run Windows Backup as administrator. It demands me to logon as administrator. At job, my Vista Business doesn't demand that. Why this difference? In time: I've tried to update my Vista Business to SP1 five times, always with failure. May this difference be version-related? Thanks in advance. Rosivaldo.

Hi, I have been using Windows Server for storing Macintosh's files for years. Some day the Server 2000 failed, I installed Windows server 2000 on the another machine. and then restored the files. But I found that the InDesign with the linked graphic eps files has been broken, I have to re-link again, pretty annoying. Even I installed the Windows server 2003 with the same ip address, the same Server Name, the same shared paths as previous server, and then isolate that Server machine from the domain network by another network swith, and then restored the files. When I open the InDesign files, it prompt me to re-link the attached eps graphic files, but …
