adam not-so-bright is a failed back room bean counting accountant who screwed up the union's (aka mob) books so badly, they put him in a mental institution (his choice) for 20+ yrs instead of giving him a pair of cement shoes. That is why he is and has been unemployed and unemployable for over 20+ yrs. He claims to be a "professional" video editor yet he can't even get his one little install of Vista Business to run properly. He said he is independently wealthy yet he couldn't afford to purchase Vista Ultimate, the version he said he really needed. He is a mentally retarded, demented, delusional, sick-in-th-head PIG!

I encountered a strage problem with notebook Vista ultimate SP1 Asus Lamborgini with fingerprints reader. I join to an active directory domain but when working with cached credentials outside lan the notebook reboot itself for 3 time before the desktop. The problem seems bound to security software installed (Asus security protect manager) that stored encrypted password for internet site and also windows logon with fingerprint authentication. Only whe complete uninstall the logon problem disappears. I repeat that the logon failed is only outside lan when using local cached credentials, when attached to lan no problems. I fount another topic with this problem…

Previous posts have covered trustworthy principles in general and some product specifics as well. Privacy is an important part of trustworthy computing. This post discusses one aspect of privacy on the web: third-party content. When most people browse the web, they think what they see in the address bar and the site they are visiting are the same thing. However, web sites today typically incorporate content from many different web sites. For the sake of clear terminology, the site the user browses to directly (seen in the address bar) is the first-party site the other sites that the first-party site incorporates in its site experience (but that the user hasn’t naviga…

As others have written here before, users should be in control of their information. That’s at the core of privacy. Privacy has two aspects: disclosure and choice. Disclosure means informing users in plain language about the data collected about them and how it’s used. Choice means putting users in control of their data and giving them tools to protect it. Have you ever wanted to take your web browsing “off the recordâ€? Perhaps you’re using someone else’s computer and you don’t want them to know which sites you visited. Maybe you need to buy a gift for a loved one without ruining the surprise. Maybe you’re at an Internet kiosk and don’t want the next p…

Hi there, I have a HDD music player for my car that connects to my PC via USB. However whenever I connect it to a particular port (the only one I have free:-) it disconnects and I get a message along the lines of 'Something has disconnected your device' It works in a different port but that got me thinking - I have had a lot of devices connected via USB at one time or another to the point where my single scanner is now Scanner #3, my printer is #2 etc. etc. Is there a way to see what has been connected to a particular USB port and uninstall or dis-associate that particular device from that particular port? And if I can do that when I plug my scann…

Copying a file from computer to MP4 player gets an info error window that is too big to fit on the screen. The error is "Property Loss", 'Do you want to copy this file without its properties?" There are so many properties reported that the Cancel/Continue buttons are not visible on the screen. Is there some way to access the buttons or widen the error window? The screen resolution is already set to the max and the error window is about 25% of the width and 125% of the height. TIA, GWB

!Please read message entirely before replying. Thanks so much for your time! Under the "Notification Area" of the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" window, I am unable to check the boxes for my volume icon, network icon, and my power meter icon. These icons just randomly dissappeared when I booted up my computer recently. I have tried rebooting many times, and turning off UAC. When I turned off UAC, I got my battery meter back for that specific time that I was on my computer. I had gotten my network icon back for a period of time but it was gone the next time I booted. I have heard that this may be caused by explorer crashing. I do not believe that my exp…
