The first time after logging in, when I open the My Documents folder, Windows Explorer hangs. I use Task Manager to end Windows Explorer. Further attempts to open My Documents are successful. Any ideas? XP Home installation.

Hi all, I ran into a problem where in my folder structure, I need users to have no write access to the root directory. They need to be able to have read/write access to sub-directories however, and the problem arises when they accidentally move a folder from the root directory into another. They won't be able to move it, because they don't have write access to the root directory, but the contents of the sub directory they've moved have been moved across to the other sub-directory. Is there a way around this? I really need some help. :S Using Windows 2003. Help!

The icons for my Favorites List are all messed up. Fav Org used to correct that with XP but is there anything for Vista to put the correct icons with the names? Thanks.

On one of our Windows 2003 server it has a service poolmon3vbs. The execute is srvany.exe. The path it pointed to has many vb scripts for poolmon output. with this service running it will automatically generate poolmon output. I'm sure we got this setup in the past by calling PSS. I need to set this up on another server but can't find any how-to. Instead opening a case with MS does anyone know how to set it up? Thanks.

I just updated my laptop, and after doing that I have lost everything, I can even access my desktop and my Start button is not showing. I have IE version 6. I am currently taking courses online. I can log on to the test site successfully, but when I click on the link to begin the test, the information box from Internet Explorer pops up asking me if I want to "allow this page to paste information from my clipboard". I click both no, yes, and exit buttons. I get a flash of the box, nothing else happens I cannot remove this box from my screen. Subsequently, the page is locked. I have to restart my pc to fix this. Can someone please help me, I need to be able to take these tests from home. I don't know much about computers, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
