I tried insanely to corect this error. I don't even want to go into all that I tried. However, nothing helped until I came across this. Thank you so much. When I think of the brain cells I fried and the wasted time on other fixes, well let's just leave it at thank you foir ending my frustration. Has anyone experienced Windows Server 2008 Server Manager and ServerManagerCMD hanging when checking roles. The server itself is performing normally. Just upgraded my server to 2003. All has gone well but I'm having trouble insstalling programs. Two examples are pcanyware (11.5) and AVG file server edition. AVG gets as far as asking what version you want installing, there is a pop up window that appears for about half a second (don't know what it says as there isn't time to read it) and then nothing happens. PCanywhere starts installation then rolls back saying that setup was interuppted. I upgraded my sister's PC with a new motherboard, processor and hard drive (SATA). I was able to use Western Digital’s tools to transfer files from the old IDE to the new SATA. I ran into a slight snag and had to call & reactivate Windows (twice) after the new motherboard & drivers were installed. After Windows was happy, I applied all patches which included SP3. Hi, When I right click on the recycle bin I get a menu item that looks like: CMD SHELL :> in Recycle Bin context menu. When I select it I get an error: The file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel. I have Windows Vista Business running on my Toshiba Laptop. I imported my Google Calendar into the Vista Windows Calendar using the subscribe button (the only way that would work for me). Now the calendar is "read only" and I cannot edit any appointments or add any new appointments. Anyone know how I can fix this and stop the subscription? Thanks in advance for your help. Hello, My Vista Home Premium 32-bit PC recently stopped running the windows experience assessment. It runs through all the tests then ends with a dialogue box that says: "Cannot complete assessment." "The assessment or other operation did not complete successfully. This is due to an error being reported from the operating system, driver, or other component." I have tried uninstalling and re-installing both my video and sound drivers. I tried driver sweeper and driver cleaner pro. Hi Over the last couple of days I have had an extra user account appear everytime I start the computer up each day called IUser_Admin. No matter what I try it still keeps reappearing!! I keep deleting the account but it still keeps coming back! I have run my antivirus/spyware software which removed some infections but still it persists. Have tried Ad-Aware which cleaned it too, have also tried running antivirus etc in safe mode and have done the Windows One Care online scanner. Any other suggestions?

Hi folks, I have disabled Vista's Aero to speed up my system but yesterday I accidentally hit a combination of keys when alt-tabbing through my open windows and the Aero thing briefly kicked in where I could see all my open windows in the 3d style stack. But now I can't replicate that same combination and was wondering if it's a known thing that someone can share because that was the one aspect of Aero that I actually found useful. In its absence till now I've been using a freeware app called Freewheel that allows me to scroll back and forth through my open windows using my mouse's scroll wheel. Is paltalk scene 9.5 not able to run on vista? I've downloaded it and installed it but when it goes to start, it says that windows has found a problem with running paltalk and it will let me know if it finds a solution .... yeah right... anyone know of a fix or what I can do to get it to run?
