Hello, I'm working on a new PC on Windows XP SP3. Everything works fine when installing. After Widnows installation I have installed motherboard and video card drivers => everything ok I have work with the computer without problem. But when starting the computer again, RPC server hasn't start ! So the session is very slow to be opened, copy/paste doesn't work, spooler service and firewall doesn't work, and taskbar doesn't appears... So, I have repaired Windows. Everything works fine. To be sure, I have downloaded last drivers of motherboard and video card. Install OK and RPC was coming back ! But, then I have installed Office 2007, and this one…

I've been trying to use ISS, and discovered that when I try to browse to localhost, or try to browse my wwwroot sites from inside IIS, I get the error message below. I also found that Dreamweaver isn't able to access the websites inside the wwwroot directory. Any suggestions on what to do would be appreciated. I have already tried deleting IIS, rebooting, and then reinstalling it, but nothing changed. Thanks for your help. Can someone tell me how to get sounds to work again? When I click the sound icon on the taskbar a little window comes up and asks if I want to enable "Windows Audio Service." When I click yes I get the annoying User Account Control window and so click "Continue." The sound window comes up. I can select sounds and click OK.... but it sounds stay DISABLED and wont play. How is this fixed so we can hear the modem when we dial up and the wavs that are supposed to play?

have changed the start button in the task bar to windows classic look.....now when computer boots up to desk top i notice the start flashing on and off until final activity of computer ends...any way to remedy this..or is this normal..any and all help appreciated. -- mukooh

If I select plain view when composing a message like this one, this is what I see (bold text) in the compose window. If I select rich text, the font is normal but I am unable to send the message. Also, how can I change the font size when viewing anything in MS Windows XP. Except for here, all windows programs, the font is so small that I can hardly read it.
