However, this checkbox always seems to be checked automatically after saving and exiting the dialog. Any ideas how to keep it unchecked?

I have a 'little' laptop connected to a larger monitor. When ever I wish to play a music video, media player appears in the laptop screen, but completely fills the large monitor screen. Naturally all 'work' is done on the large, easy to read monitor. With the large monitor 'fill' I am snookered, and unable to do any further work. Is there any way I can have the music video playing solely in the laptop screen? Thanks in advance - plus I hope this is clear.

Simon I realize you are "new to this", so please don't be too upset if I point out that this newsgroup is for Vista users. I have no expertise to deal with your query, but you should have posted it in 'microsoft.public.windowsxp.general' to get a proper response. Hi, I have had the same problem in trying to back up Vista ever since I had my PC. I have just noticed that there is a conflict between "Roxio" drag to disc and Windows explorer. I have un-installed all the "Roxio" programs from my system and Vista backup now works perfectly. Hope this helps - Chris -- chris7769 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ chris7769's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/chris7769.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-help/650168.htm http://forums.techarena.in

Hello all, About 3 month ago I made a new installation of WinXP SP2 on this computer. Pentium III 1.6 GHz, 768 MB RAM. All worked well until a collegue installed google desktop on this computer. I think it was since then, photo previes is extremely slow. Does not matter what program is used to view the pictures. She normally uses xnview, latest version. But als with the windows explorer the preview of picture are very slow. About same speed on local or network drives. I removed google desktop, but the speed did not change. All other seem to work with normal speed. Have anyone an idea what I could do? Thanks in advance, Siegfried
