When using windows slide show and media center in full screen the pointer is invisible, it senses the movement as the on screen navigation appears but no mouse pointer. Other apps work fine DVD player etc in full screen mode it seems that only these 2 apps are at fault. Have SP1 and all latest drivers for Acer 7520 Laptop including Alps pointing device and Nvidia Graphics. The mouse is a bit jumpy at times and does skip to a position sometimes after a moment of freezing. Also ,a little off topic but when connecting laptop aux/headphone out to an external amplifier when on a/c power there is a pick up of sound from the mouse hard drive and general squelch …

I have a mysterious problem on my Vista Business SP1 - Danish When I try to connect to one of our Windows 2008 servers, mstsc hangs on the Vista. I have tried to run the mstsc as an administrator and with the /admin but with no luck. I can connect smoothly to our Windows 2003 servers - it is only the 2008 servers that is giving me the struggle. The problem is as follows: I start the mstsc with windows key+R then run the command mstsc /admin. The start window is showing up, and I type in the server i want to connect to, then i choose "Another account" and type in my admin username with domain prefix and password. Now the mstsc window stops running (no…

on My laptop dexplore.exe acts like a malware. Steps to recreate: 1) open Visual Web Developer 2005 [windowsXP home] 2) go to help menu and click “how do I†3) help window opens, but the mouse pointer icon alternates fast between thinking and idle icon 4) open task manager, and I see dexplore.exe takes 70% of CPU time and never ends even after 10 minutes note: This is recreatable. If I open task manager before the step1, then dexplore.exe stops taking CPU time after 2 seconds so, seems to me it should be virus/malware. What should I do about this?
