Today, we received a service request where our customer got a performance issue reading 20 millions of rows in a temporal report in PowerBI. They provided to their final users multiple ways to filter, for example, grouping or sorting by different columns) using a subset of this data. While utilizing Cognitive Services, it's important to understand that each resource comes with a pre-configured static call rate measured in transactions per second (TPS). This call rate acts as a limit on the number of concurrent requests that clients can initiate towards the backend service within a specified time frame. Service Bus and SAP built-in connectors in Logic App Standard contain many triggers and actions that were previously restricted to stateless Logic Apps only. Beginning in April, these triggers and actions are now available for use in stateful Logic Apps. This article explains the requirements needed to successfully use this new feature. Some Service Bus and SAP built-in connector triggers and actions were not previously enabled in stateful workflows as they required triggers and/or actions to be performed by the same instance. The Java Engineering Group (JEG) optimized the Microsoft Build of OpenJDK for Azure's first Ampere Altra Arm-based VM families as an essential part of this launch. The Ampere Altra CPUs are based on Arm’s Neoverse N1 architecture. Hence, JEG focused the optimizations to take advantage of Arm Neoverse N1-specific CPU features like a variety of cryptographic algorithms, Large System Extension (LSE) to improve scalability on large server systems, and the entire physical core per vCPU.
