Hi. I'm trying to connect to a remote computer in C++, using `IWbemLocator::ConnectServer` method. The hosting process has no permissions to connect, but the current thread is impersonated to a powerful user. The call fails (error code is 0x80070005). In the Security Event Log of the remote machine I can find the authentication request, and the username is the process' user (not the impersonatd user). I've tried to create a new process (Using CreateProcessAsUser), and then all works. It's not good enough because I must do it in the current process. It looks like the problem is in the underlying DCOM layer. Can someone help?

Is there a way to set Vista to not auto-sort an opened folder. For example, if I have My Documents open and I add files, I don't want it to automatically refresh/auto-sort until I tell it to. I want it to behave like XP. Back in the good 'ol days, the new files would stay at the bottom until I either choose refresh or I choose to re-sort or I close and open the folder.

I'm running Symantec EndPoint Protection on my TS (WS 2008) but it seems a bit flaky for end users and it doesn't seem to scan POP3 email for users. Are there are any better AV solutions for TSs? - anthonyx26

Hello, I installed XP SP3. I understand the issue behind the loss of the Address bar. However, the service pack installation removed all my toolbars: the quick launch and the custom one I created. I added them back only to have them dumped again. Any ideas why I can't seem to keep my toolbars? -- archivist49 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ archivist49's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/archivist49.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/windows-update/1057718.htm http://forums.techarena.in

I am using Office 2007 and Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 In Office Online -> Clip Art, When I give search for any name say Cat, after 3 seconds of search, the computer only returns the message 'Searched for "cat". It does not show the clips. This happens even if I give search for any other name. On the other hand if there are far larger number of clips for any given name, it gives the message "Your search returned more than 1200 items. To narrow the results, type a more specific keyword into the search box. " below the main message 'Searched for xxx'. When I narrow down my search, again only the main message comes without any clips. These clips …
