Hi I am trying to backup the current security settings using secedit from the command prompt. What should the expected output be? I am entering the following command and I receive the following output: Secedit /generaterollback /cfg /hisecws.inf /rbk backup.inf. Allows you to generate a rollback template with respect to a configuration template. The syntax of this command is: secedit /generaterollback /cfg filename /rbk filename [/log filename] [/quiet] /db filename - Specifies the database used to perform the rollback. /cfg filename - Specifies a security template with respect to which a rollback template is generated. I would like to install my system (Windows 2008 Server) on a FIbre Channel volume. I have 4 FibreChannel adapters (2x Qlogic 2340, 2x Qlogic 2310) with which I have been doing the tests. Now, there's no problem installing the system on an FC volume with 512 byte blocksize, but when I set up a 4 kB volume, the volume shows up in the installer and it's possible to create a partition, but it's not possible to format the volume with NTFS (the system freezes at that exact moment). The configuration is exactly the same as when trying the 512 byte blocksize. Anybody had the same problem? It doesn't seem to be connected to FC itself.. Any tips? Thanks in advance!

How does one review a supposedly new version of a product that they have, in reality, already been using for months? It's not easy, believe it or not: The Beta version of Windows 7 (build 7000) that Microsoft will later deliver to tech beta testers and then, in January, to the public, is nothing more than a very finely tweaked version of the various post-M3 (Milestone 3, or build 6801--see my lengthy overview of that build) builds I've been using since October. In fact, there is almost no difference at all between this version of Windows 7 and M3, assuming you've enabled all the hidden M3 features using Rafael Rivera's "Blue Badge" tool. Now, that's not a complaint per…
