Windows XP Services - User Rights
by Guest Correy- 0 replies

Hello, I have a service set to run automatically at startup, but occasionally during updates we send out to our users it needs to be stopped. Normally only regular users login that are part of the Users group, not the Administrators group. It seems like the service(s) can only be stopped if a user is part of the administrators group. So I'm wondering if I can set that particular service to allow the built-in Users group to stop/start it without being an administrator? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Correy
