In recent case a 150MB file is reported as 161KB when exploring ZIP in WinExplorer, it's nowhere close to compressed OR uncompressed size. Since replacing MB with KB gives approximately correct result, I suspec tsomethign going on with a factor of x10 applied by OS, whatever the case: IT'S ANOTHER PROBLEM WE DIDN'T HAVE in WindowsXP. So from now on if I want truth, I use WinRAR. Instead of a free and Shell-integrated ZIP, I need to get thru extra clicks to invoke WinRAR even though it offers some shell integration, it's just another lame bug in Vista. How many more to discover in an OS otherwise superior to WinXP? Vista's superior functions don't offset …

The id/pw still connects just fine from other Vista workstations. On this Vista workstation I get: "This computer can't connect to the remote computer. Try connecting again. If the probelm continues, caontact the owner of the remote computer or your network administrator." I have compared ALL the settings in RDP. Not really that much in there. Anyone have any ideas whats up. I can dup dozens of messages but not this one. John

Hey guys I installed windows server 2008 (Enterprise edition) on my desktop and is using it as my main OS I have the 64bit version and I have a few questions. Am thinking of hosting a few game servers on it and letting the people I host them for have full access to it by running on another user account and letting them remote desktop to it. But my question is can you see what they are doing when they are remote desktoping it. Also can you limit what a user can do like stop them from using IE etc. Thanks Twin.

Happy father's day! I am running Vista and when the IE7 issues came up, my son deleted IE7 and installed Safari for the internet (this was the point when we lost the sound for the internet) - we tried firefox but it was verrrry slow.
